I'd have to agree with as214 on that one. The environment there is very un appealing.

I can respect the fact that some may not want to step in and try to fix the problems we have. Contrary to popular belief, I dont think it is as easy as it looks... if it were, our problems would have been solved by now. (Another lesson that I've learned over the years is that there will always be problems. We solve some, but as we grow we encounter new ones.)

I do not respect anyone that claims to have the solution but is afraid to get involved in solving the problem. IMHO, people should step up and put their reputation where their mouth is, or shut up and get out of the way. In simplest terms, If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Oh family guy do tell! What great solutions have you offered? Please give specifics about how you fixed a problem. I can tell you that the union travel committee saved the company millions in hotel cost annually. What have you done?

I do my job everyday, looking for ways to be more productive, so that we can handle more flights everyday without increasing staff. If you guys would stop thinking your situation is the center of the universe, then maybe you'd realize that the casino has gotten a lot more efficient over the last few years. How many flights a day are we handling now vs 3 years ago? How much has our staffing increased vs 3 years ago?

As for the union travel committee saving millions in hotel cost annually, you'll have to prove that one to me. What exactly has the committee done that's saved millions? I dont think recommending a change from a Hilton to an Embassy Suites will save us millions. And does your post mean to imply that the committee is actually out there renegotiating contracts? Does all that pilot expertise now entend into negotiating hotel deals? or are you taking credit for the work of others in the casino?

If we really want to save millions in hotel costs then we should look at using Best Western's, Holiday Inn's, Radisson's, etc.... just like the airlines do.

Am I advocating using those types of hotels? No. I think the current choices of Hiltons, Hyatts, etc provide a much more comfortable and restful atmosphere for the pilots. But everyone should realize that part of that high cost structure of NetJets is to provide QOL for the crews on the road.

Doesn't Motel 6 make the most sense? Perhaps they could pitch a GP tiny outside the FBO and save some really big bucks.

Once again Family Guy, What the f have you done to save this company money give me a date, time, situation, job specific that you saved this company money? Yes the union travel committee did save the company millions in hotel costs. We tried to save the company a ton of money on airline costs but they declined. I guess you were not at that round table meeting.

Don't post or read very often. Now I know why.

NJOwner, you're not funny. Kind of had a Massa and Slave flavor to it.
