Talked to a ramp guy in AUS a couple of days ago. He has been in some of the bags fly free commercials. He was telling me that his royalty checks just keep showing up in the mail.

Says some weeks he gets nothing...others he gets a couple of checks per day a few times a week.

Overkill is what this thread has turned into. The fact we are even talking about it means that it's working. People don't care about whether the commercial is corny or not. They only care how cheap the fare is and whether they have to shell out and extra $50 bucks to check 2 bags.
