Jumped on ATLAS less than a week ago. They said to expect hiring next year.

Word from a friend working there is that they should be adding something like 7 airframes in 2010 and will hopefully be hiring around May or so.

since they closed STN have all the AABO/AACS folks been "made redundant" as they put it over there.

used to work there and basically quit because of the no travel to stn issue, but lucky for me, they changed it right after i left.

would like to get back maybe, been talking to D.B in puzzle palace and it was said no hiring for a year or more. due no attrition and people still out on furlough, made it sound like as soon as they fixed STN issue the revolving door just stopped and no one leaves now.

this is from nov/09 info

Does any of you Atlas or Polar drivers know what is going to happen to the hiring pool? I would assume their going to flush it!

Thanks in advance.

That's how I read it, Treetop. Sounds like perhaps toward the end of first quarter there may be some movement. Standing by the phone!

I would have your resume up to date. word is we(polar) will add 2 more 400`s to take us to 8. 10 captain upgrades starting after new year. you could see the resume window open here soon. hope it helps..

So, what is the latest? Any upgrades, and any leads on where the planes are coming from?

Is Atlas still considered the best place to be considered the lowest paid 747 driver in the world?
I know you're just "stirring the pot" but, Umm no, that would be World or Southern.

Hi!

There are a couple of other 747 operators that pay less than Atlas. I think Atlas is actually the best paid American 747 operator. I personally think the compensation and work schedules are very good.
