Just wondering if anybody knew of a corporate job in the Atlanta area. I am getting married and moving down there next month and looking for employment. I have a Citation 500 series type but would be willing to give anything a shot.

Thanks in advance for the help

Are you only considering corporate (I read part 91 only)? We have Citation openings (and other types as well) at my company (KRYY) but it is 135. PM me if you are interested in more info.

Not a great time to be Part 91 in Atlanta. One of the largest operators (BellSouth) is about to downsize because of the ATT merger. Not much going on with the larger companies. Southern Company is hiring a LR-45 experienced pilot, but there is a possible merger in the works there, so who knows what will happen.

The job at Flightworks mentioned above might be a good option until you can find something better.

I would be up for either 91 or 135. The market is tough down there. I have knocked on a lot of doors and made a lot of phone calls but no luck as of yet.

Whats the rumor on the southern company merger? Ive got a buddy in the system for that L45 job over there.

F50/900

If you have a min of 4000TT with some F50 or F900 time, PM me as I may know of something in the ATL area.

HEY, some of us on the inside are politicing for that gig too. Just waiting to see if it might be commutable since there's so much chasing airplanes going on.

Maybe I'll take it! Or, with the promise of some BIG "junk in the trunk" women for G200, he'll take it!!!!

:p

Gotta be HD?

That sounds more like HBC McKesson to me. As for Southern Company, a friend told me that and it comes from a very good source.

Yea, old Odom lost the contract down there at McKesson, imagine that? I believe he stiffed a bunch of the pilots and flight attendants in excess of 10K.......goes around comes around. He might try a new city next time. I'm sure he'll do his best to sucker some first time aircraft buyer into his management philosophies.

Hey Nightowl.....I heard you married into money? small world ehh? Sorry...the DC-3 gave you away.

TGord....It's the only way I could afford to stay in aviation..funny how word travels in small circles. Good to hear from you. Yup..it's time to move to a town with more than 20,000 people for once.

I hear they're good.;) We haven't been back since a short visit in February though. It's probably about time to change my driver's license and plates to my new domicile.:)

Mckesson

From what I have heard, you are going to have to go through TAG management to get a job there. Great equip. though! I'm sure the morale will be a tad bit higher now!

So what is the deal with McKesson? I know that they are HQed in SFO and have a few aircraft at PDK. Do they only use contract flight crews? I was in Intl school a while back with some of their pilots, I didn't realize that they were all contract.

They have some aircraft in ATL and some in SFO. This is a TAG Aviation managed account. No contract pilots anymore. Far superior operation to anything in the past. Should be great place to work!

Don't worry, I am not out to steal antbodys job. Just wondering???? And glad somebody around here is hiring.

I see on America's job board that Phoenix Air Group in Cartersville Georgia, about 45 minutes north of Atlanta, is looking for someone for one of their Lear's. Their website is Phoenixair.com for more info. I've known a few people from my CAP squadron that have worked there, and they seem to be a good place to work. They fly some charter and some military training in the Lears, not sure which this is for.

The tow cable is three to five miles. Most of the exercises are not live fire. I did one live fire and lost a pair of undies...just kidding. I flew the G-I mostly.

It was my first flying job out of college so I had fun and learned alot. When most guys were making $17-18 bucks an hour at starting out at regionals, I was making $36 and flying 80-90 hours a month one week on, one off...of course they were all Captains when I went to the regionals, but most had never flown internationally at all and I had extensively.

It's a great opportunity and a bunch of fun for a short period of time. I worked there for three years, but I've been out since 2002 and few guys have remained there, due to work visa limitations and a couple due to skeletons in the closet.

Tailwinds...

Me neither! I am with Sleepy, glad to see some good sized flt dept.'s starting to hire. It's been pretty stagnant around here lately!
