People in workgroups companywide are working hard to make sure we deliver a safe, reliable product for our customers and business partners. As we continue working to identify ways to ensure we cover our scheduled flying for Continental, Delta and United during this challenging time, we are launching a short-term Perfect Attendance program.

The program will be in effect from March 15 to May 31. All those employees below the supervisor and/or manager level who work all days they are scheduled to work during the Perfect Attendance timeframe will be entered into a drawing to win one of five 42” flat-screen TVs and five ipads.

Please take a minute to read the attached memo that includes an FAQ about this program. Thanks for everything you’re doing,

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHA!

I'm usually the pro-management type, but Im starting to slid over to most of you guys side now. I think this one passes the PBS coin flip debacle in terms of ridiculousness....

OMG! YGTBSM ASA!!!!

:eek::rolleyes::nuts:

Hmm let's see, sick calls will increase now????

Oh, and Thanks For All You Do!

omg....too funny.

don't call in sick for 2 weeks = PERFECT ATTENDANCE. What is this Pre-K? Do we get one of those little certificates too? I like those.

no doubt it's an iPad 1, and a 720 TV :smash: funny chit man

better idea, make mo better productive pairings duhhhhhhhhhh

actually it be Mar 15 thru May 31, 2 1/2 months, gonna be hard to make dat, copy dat? ASA just waiting to :bomb:

yeah, just being funny.

but on a serious note: no way I can make it 2.5 months without calling sick. Everyday I wake up...it's a coin toss.

I'm out.

Sounds like management desperation to me. Give them hell boys, and make them pay for their lack of planning.

Well crap!! now I can't call in fatigued unless I want to lose my 1 in 5000 chance to win an obsolete Ipad or TV!!!

Managers are automatically entered into the drawing by shooting below 85 on a Tuesday or Wednesday. One mulligan per side. Good luck!

You have to give it to them though. With years worth of effort, the company has FINALLY managed to produce pairings so BAD that no one wants to show up to fly them. Hey, it's a sick-cation for everyone. Call in, and you only get nicked 15 hrs or less from the sick bank. I'm a reserve guy, otherwise, I'd take advantage of it myself!

How completely embarrassing. I hope whoever thought this up loses their job this summer.

Great, let's give people and incentive to:

1. Fly sick. (I hate when somebody is hacking next to me for 4 days.)
2. Fly fatigued.

I wonder what the FSDO would think of the company/certificate holder offering financial incentives to flight crews to work even when they're unfit for duty?

Basically you are being rewarded for flying sick. couple that with our widespread reduced rest pairings and you have a very dangerous airline culture. They're trying real hard to wind up on the news.

This really impresses me....Spent many years working for a national TV news agency and I kinda thinking of leaking this one

Let's call it what it is....an attempt to get those who would otherwise be on a sickaction to come to work.

If you are sick, nobody is telling you to come to work are they?

I could see the news spinning it just as badly back on pilots...."After the commercial break: Are pilots so desperate and untrustworthy that they would risk our lives at the outside shot of winning a TV??"

I just got an iPad and a TV so no real incentive for me.

Oh yeah, this will play huge right along side 10s of thousands of people dying in Japan, I can see it now; "Company offers employees iPads and LCD TVs for attendance." I bet most Americans wouldn't put up with this sort of promotion...

Ahaha...Piers Morgan interrupts his interview of the Japanese Prime Minister, he hushes the PM, puts his finger to his earpiece and intently listens....Then announces the breaking scandal of ASA offering TVs and Ipads to employees who make it to work 10 weeks in a row! The humanity, the gall! Bloody hell!
