Anyone who has left ASA, I'll give you my "bounus" money if you'll trade jobs with me.

I disagree. I think the vast majority of our pilots didn't care about scope until ships 701-705 were transferred.

Management did more to get scope on property than anything.

Hey I didn't leave I'm still here!

If you've quit, recently hired on, or think you deserve anything for sitting right seat, slinging gear and generally making life a pain in my ass- you aren't getting jack. Thanks.

Seeing the SKYW -900s on the ATL ramp that we weren't going to get anyway, but were led to believe we were, helped fuel the fire. If I had a choice between scope and leaving ASA, I'd rather leave. But seeing SKYW pilots flying planes for a dollar-2.95 less just to keep Jerry happy rubs me wrong. It would have been smarter for ASA to operate them since we're already in ATL. But JA used them as a whipsaw, and the SKYW pilots happily obliged, getting paid less than they should have in the process.

JB, the J4 and others may have spoke out about scope, but it was for their own selfish interests, not the well-being of the pilot group.

Who's the "J4"?

I spoke out for scope and did not then nor do I now consider it to be for selfish reasons.

WMS,

Those 900s were ASA orders and they were transfered to Skywest. The "unionistas" convinced you that they were going to Skywest all along. That is amazing since they were ordered before Skywest even bought us. The new scope doesn't stop more "retire and award" from happening in the future.

Without scope, the rest of the contract is meaningless.... so what were our "selfish interests"? If it is protecting our job, then we are guilty as charged......

I doubt most pilots at the regionals care about scope even now.... They don't plan on being here long enough.... They just want to upgrade, get PIC time, and move on..... This mentality then perpetuates the viscious cycle we find ourselves in....

OK people, listen up .

For anyone who has left ASA and feels they are entitled to part of the bonus, I would say this:

Thanks for your support of the negotiations while you were here. But now that you are gone, you can't be expected to share in any hardships or benefits which may have come about as a result of the contract.

If we went on Strike, would you have suffered?

If we took a paycut or substandard contract, would you have sufered?

The answers are obvious and obviously negate any claims to the benefits of the contract. So, enjoy your new career and don't look back. And remember: a rising tide raises all boats.
