It's official this time. Best of luck to those affected. It effects everyone, but of course, much more those who are furloughed.

Hopefully it will be short term. And hopefully it will become apparent soon that we need these pilots back.....

I think that this is the first time that ASA has ever furloughed.
Best of luck to those effected. I hope that they do not displace to many CA's. I think you are short, so maybe no one will get effected.

Nothing in my email or on ourasa about it

Thats because so far it has been the CPO calling the affected pilots. Apparently they anticipate it lasting at least 6 months, and is due to a reduction of block hours from 900 to 700ish.

We fly about 39,000 block hours a month. If we lost 700 to 900 hours in a month they could adjust for it.

We signed the contract and stabilized costs.
We conserve significant amounts of fuel.
We turned around the company's operational performance.
We are number 1 in customer satisfaction among Delta Carriers.
We busted our asses.

They have increased the costs of our medical benefits while decreasing the coverage.
They have shrunk our fleet.
They increased our dues for non-rev travel.
Now they want to lay off our employees.

What's next? What else can we do for you?

Glad he is yours and no longer ours!

It's a recession. This is what happens in a recession.

Should this read "Now they want to lay off our pilots"?

They've been laying off from the GO for about a year.
