Your management is seriously dicking with their customers and expect push back from your customer base. You guys are looking good now, but won't be looking so good in the future.

????????????????
All my MVP and MVP gold friends are real happy. That was not he case a few years ago but now I hear nothing but good remarks.

"... What I can say is that I told ALPA last month I didn't see another bid for 2010. What I can say now is that my assessment has changed. Our announcement of some additional Hawaii flying and the news that Mexicana is dropping some routes presents some new flying opportunities. Please stay tuned, and I hope we have some good news in the next few weeks. "

That was the response to a question about rumors of a new bid coming out on the pilot web page.

My 2nd floor source says there will be a bid out this fall, effective in Jan 2011.
They are still messaging it so he did not know the numbers.

35 sounds like the number... Jan '11 effective date maybe even sooner!

Well, that would be a good start. Added to the 12 from the May 1 recall, it would bring back all the October 2009 furloughs.

IF they want all the recalled pilots to be trained by January '11, then a bid should be posted soon... 45 day process for recall letters, etc.

Sweet! Now I can go and buy that new house, boat, and car tomorrow that I've been putting off since I got furloughed.

I hope that number holds. Thanks for the info!

My friend is a FAA guy in the Northwest that used to be in Hawaii and still talks with the FSDO over there and he asked me if I had heard about Horizon flying over there? He said his Hawaii contacts have been talking about it happening soon.

Inter-island with the mainline connections?

Hmmmm.

They need to do soemthing. Upper Management hasn't shown much the past couple years and they are fleeing markets this fall.

Gup

As of this morning Horizon has moved to an all CPA airline with AS. We are keeping the Horizon brand for now but they are still thinking about changing to AS colors. The presidient and VP of FltOps are in Toranto talking Bombardier this week. Who knows what will happen out of this. Probably nothing.
Our President said a few weeks back that he doesn't think that Hawaii would work but they also said that we weren't able to make any money with our structure now.
On the good side all furloughs and downgrades for the remainder of the year are cancelled.

Sounds like plan 2020 is going to get it's roll-out soon.

What in the H. E. Double hockey sticks are you talking about?

Read the QX letter from the president from Pinneo in the inflight magazine.

Then ask the ops agents and ground pounders in North Bend, Pendleton, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, etc. if closing stations and abandoning routes has been a good thing for them.

Oh...Since we're talking about Alaska here, and not Horizon, your comment made no sense at the time.

No worries. I was just respoding the the two posts IMMEDIATELY above mine that was talking about QX in Hawaii.
