I usually don't fly much in the southeast, but yesterday morning, we were flying into CLT. The controller working CLT approach was hilarious. He sounds like an auctioneer, and sometimes even "sings" (for lack of better term) when he is talking over the radio. Has anybody else heard this guy? Pretty funny.

A good controller can really cap off a good flight :)

I've heard him. There is/was a pretty funny guy @TPA app/dep too.
And Ashville has a pretty nice guy, he is also a pilot

He is known as "The Voice of Charlotte". That guy rocks, always makes my day when he is working, especially final approach 127.7 or 119.0. SEEEEEYAAA!

Yep, heard him recently. I like the tower guy in CVG that says "Contact Depaaaaaaaaarture" in a low drawl.

RDU has the nine-er guy!

Some of the Tower guys at Concord (CLT's Class D airport) know the auctioneer, evidently he was a wild, motorcylce riding fan in his younger days.\

Seee yah!

I love being based out of CLT. I hear him 3 or 4 times a week. Always very helpfull and very in control. Even when things get busy, he has a way of making it "slower" while keeping a high ops tempo.
