Forgot to mention NWA IS DAL's D.I.P. financing right now. Without the $1 Billion L.O.C. DAL would be the first to re-file CH-11 this fall. D- job in first CH-11, great plan for double digit INT. expansion as only hope to survive. Now what? Oh, I forgot, NWA cash and cashflow. You guys never could handle the truth. Was it the rocking chair? Together we have a better chance for long term survival. It is your only hope.
Well, some of that money we are using came from the pile of cash NWA saved on your salaries. Anyways, can't we all just get along now? I think we will do a lot better now that we are together, and NWA would have parked their cargo ops anyway regardless of the merger (thanks to Worldwide drop and DHL contract loss). The LCC's would have continued to pour into MSP and DTW, and eroded your overwhelming superiority at those hubs. Yes, our INTL expansion has hurt us somewhat, (we added 50 INTL cities in one year alone), but a lot of those new cities are only on Saturday service (Caribbean), and having the rights to go there now will help us all in the future. We just have to find the right planes to fit the routes.
Hey, using my new seniority I may try the A330 when it moves to ATL (based here). I can't wait, it looks kinda fun......
