So.... what you are saying is......you have no clue!

Quarter1 conference call suggests this myth is BUSTED.

Why in god's name would Mesa want a bunch of junkstreams anyway? And due to our scope clauses, whipsawing would simply not be an issue. The acquired airline would be merged immediately with our seniority lists.

Mesa HAD the perfect shot at a COEX codeshare with the recent RFP that went to Republic (we fly ERJ's and CRJ's - 50 seaters and lots of them): we are dirt cheap, our CEO used to work there, and they still said "thanks, but no thanks." It's like they know something about mesa or something . .

Unless there is some sort of "guaranteed" EAS revenue stream, I can't imagine Mesa being the slightest bit interested in this acquisition.

Trans States should buy it, They still have Jetstream 31 parts and since gojets turned down the TA Hulas needs another Whipsaw

the continental and regions contract was cancelled from what i understand.

Yea 3 saabs, 1 to fly and 2 to butcher parts from. It was cancelled.

Last time I checked, Regions had four Saabs.

Taildrager, it would jive with the rumors about Mesa. Don't worry, that "Scope Clause" has an ALPA stamp on it. It'll get torn up quicker than a Kleenex at a snot party when JO is done with it. Just keep it mind that Mesa needs Regions pretty badly. Mesa is a cashcow just waiting for Regions and the Teamsters to tear into its belly and feast on the innards. LONG LIVE REGIONS!!!

From what I gathered, the Teamsters will only accept a contract with a fair inegration. This means that Senior Captains at Regions will be assigned a Mesa seniority number somewhere near the top, and likewise for the FO's on the FO seniority list. This ought to at least ensure Regions pilots get a fair shake regarding their respective careers.

REGIONS + MESA = Working to build a better tomorrow....TODAY!
