I thought this thread was about American Eagle?
Just my 2 cents but I would expect a spin off and IPO.
SWA is never going to outsource their flying. Ever.
If anything, they will buy a bunch of CRJs and fly them under their own SWA banner...part of their own fleet.
It does not really spell doom and gloom. But with the uncertainty many do not want to wait around and find out what it spells.Couldn't this be a really good thing for Eagle? It seems to have worked out at XJT...if it is just the same kind of thing, an IPO, why does it spell doom and gloom?

As for Eagle? Better off without AMR greed running the show. I just hope AE takes this chance and runs with it, never to look back.

an RJ painted with SWA colors and not flown by SWA pilots will be a disgusting step downward in this industry

SkyWest is not going to buy Eagle. I heard Uncle Jerry say, "Their flight Attendants are to old and would ruin our ratio of hot flight attendants!"

You obviously don't know much about this industry to go throwing around "never" and "ever".
SWA will do what it needs to do to make a profit for the shareholders.
Third time now that I've asked on this thread and still waiting for a reply from a skywest employee... Has your company negotiated and proposed a "pay package" in the past that was voted down by the pilots? And what was the counter offer from the company?
The answer is yes, we were offered a jet for jobs opportunity with US Air, that would have put their pilots in the left seat ahead of our own. We were offered the position of growth and it was rejected. The company rejected further talks with US Air.
