Not at AA. The AA guy can go to 65 even though he will be the absolute worst example in the industry of a pilot screwing his buddies for his own personal gain.

The guys that tick me off the most are the '84 and earlier hires who upgraded in 5 years, and already have a ton in their retirements as 777 CAs... hey, let's stay another 5 years for that extra $1M.

If it's a career F/O who will never upgrade, well, that's an easier pill to swallow, and somewhat understandable (I personally wouldn't.)

Yep, those 5 year CA guys burn me, because they are usually the loudest whiners about anything and everything dealing with their careers. It's incredible how seniority works. Just a few months can mean the difference between 3 years of Furlough, or solid employment; between upgrading to Captain in 6 or 7 years, and being a career FO.

You'd think with the significant normal and early retirement that's been going on at AA for years, now, there'd be some movement. But NOTHING has happened.

...except for LGA and MIA/CA/767/I going to 5000 seniority... that blew me away! And it's looking like it may go even more jr in the next couple of bid runs.

9 yrs seniority and another 10 to CA upgrade :crying:
