With stops where? I thought that the 800 had less range than the 700.
I'm not on the 737 but i've been told that if you top off a 700 and you top off an 800 then yes the 700 will go slightly farther (a few hundred miles)...however...at least the 700 that AS flies compared to the 800 that AS flies the 800 is more economical because you can actually carry more people the same range or farther than the 700 because of the extra seating/weight capacity. Or said another way...an 800 seats 25% more people but does not burn 25% more fuel than a 700. AS has been running ANC-ORD and SEA-MIA for awhile now and it has been found that of the 3 versions of NG that AS flies - the 800 is the superior airplane for the long stage lengths. Accodring to our dispatch folks most days we won't have to bump more than 6-8 people off of our LIH-ANC flights on some days - but that's still 150 passengers. The most limiting factor supposedly is the take-off performance out of LIH during the winter when there are nasty alternate requirements because of wx in SEA.

Interesting remark , considering i've been with Aloha for 14 years and i have never touched a surfboard since i arrived.

Does anybody have any info on how to apply? Can't seem to find anything on the website, please help.

Yeah, me too. Ex Island Air, jobless on the mainland and missing Hawaii more than expected.

Also, is there a recent flight time min? I haven't flown 121 in 11 months.

January class

Just heard from training department that they're having a class of at least 8 in January. Anybody got called yet?

Only if the company or the union would tell us what's going on... Awful lot of hiring. The question is whats it for...
