AAY Reno flying is casino charter

General Lee said:
I was flying into ATL last Sunday and I heard an Allegiant flight on the frequency, and the approach controller, a nice guy named Buzz, asked the Allegiant flight where "their base was" and they said Reno. I saw it land and it was an MD-87, a short MD-80. Probably a charter, right?

Bye Bye--General Lee

The RNO and IFP flying is casino charter for Harrah's. They fly many destinations and have some long trips, with an occasional fuel tech stop. The MD87 has Aux fuel tanks which helps with the range. The MD87 is on it's way out and will be replaced with an MD83.
