islandhopper said:Any truth to the rumor that Mesa is actively trying to purchase you guys? Other than that sounds like a great place to work.
Jeff Helgeson said:but that was over 6 months ago. I think mesa was concerned about USAir and their contracts, a lot of planes and nobody to feed, etc. I don't have any other information other than that. The owner MG, owned Westair and dealt with Mesa before. I don't think that went too well.

hawkerjet said:What's the schedule look like at Allegiant, ie, how many on, off. Can you jumpseat to the new SFD base when it opens? thanx in advance
General Lee said:I was flying into ATL last Sunday and I heard an Allegiant flight on the frequency, and the approach controller, a nice guy named Buzz, asked the Allegiant flight where "their base was" and they said Reno. I saw it land and it was an MD-87, a short MD-80. Probably a charter, right?
Bye Bye--General Lee
Jeff Helgeson said:The RNO and IFP flying is casino charter for Harrah's. They fly many destinations and have some long trips, with an occasional fuel tech stop. The MD87 has Aux fuel tanks which helps with the range. The MD87 is on it's way out and will be replaced with an MD83.
