Never flew the Mad Dog, but in the 319 there will be no doubt your engines are running, louder than a Dash-8 or ATR for sure....enjoy it, twitchy little prick that poops out in the climb much earlier than it should....crappy wing....

According to seat guru Spirit's 319s have a 30" seat pitch and the 320s have a 28" pitch. Believe it or not, I find the 320s more comfortable.

I was reading an article on Cebu Pacific in the Phillipines and it stated that all of their 319's are going to Allegiant.

So, any predictions on where the first A319s (arriving this November) will likely be based? LAS? IWA? Here's the latest news on the A319s:



GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, announced today it has signed agreements to lease nine Airbus A319 aircraft to Allegiant Air (Las Vegas) to expand the carrier’s current fleet. All nine aircraft are powered with CFM56-5B engines.
The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery to Allegiant in November 2012, with the remaining scheduled for delivery through 2015.
Previously on July 30, 2012 Allegiant announced its intention to lease nine Airbus A319 aircraft from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and to lease and eventually purchase ten Airbus A319 aircraft from Cebu Pacific Air (Manila). This new signed contract moves up the delivery date of the first A319.

Got to teach the check airman on the first plane in November. Bid should go out to all in January or February in order to fly the line in March as planned.

They say it's all growth but I highly doubt it.

First 2 go to IWA. Next batch to FL (pretty sure SFB) and have heard as few as 2 or as many as 7. And then a couple to LAS after FL. They keep saying the bulk/majority of foreseeable growth will be on the east coast.

What's the status of the A319 operation at Allegiant? Still aiming for 2-3 birds to start flying in Feb timeframe?

Is IWA still the first domicile for the A319s? What are the likely next domiciles to see them?

How many total A319s expected to be on line in 2013 and how many on order total so far (orders/options)?

Lot's of rumors but no changes to previous announcements. 'Bus will be going to IWA & then SFB.

A class of 12 was hired in Nov. & there is supposedly a class of 16 starting in Jan. All going to FL. all on the MD-80. No further hiring announced. The west is shrinking/becoming more and more senior while all the movement & growth seems to be east.

That's unbelievable, I think jet blue puts 150 in a 320! Spirit 145 In a 319!
Sounds like a good way to get cost per seat rock bottom
