Did you guys just email them a resume, or did you also print out the app and send that in as well?

Got the official thanks/no thanks letter this week. If your interested just send them your resume and keep updating it. if you know anyone there have them walk it in for you. There seems to be alot of growth going on and I heard there will be atleast another class this year. Good luck to you all and if you have any questions pm me.

Got the letter today also. Guess I'll try again in the future. They said to update in 6 months but I believe they said they won't interview you again for a year. Thanks though to all who provided info during the application process. I appreciated it.

Sorry to hear that. I guess the airplanes you fly are just too advanced/automated for them... Try AirTran, JetBlue, SWA and the Legacies that are hiring. Good luck!

Nice informative response jackass...

Hey bro, look for the silver lining.

He's correct, even if the spirit of his comment was bad.The Maddog isn't an easy airplane to manage, especially for someone who's had an RJ hold their hand for a couple of years. If I were hiring for a MD80 carrier, I'd probably look for pilots who had a lot of experience on jets that don't do everything for you. I've only been out of the -80 for six months and I'd be lost if I had to transition back. Once you learn how to type and hit the right button, you get spoiled to letting the computer fly. If I had to actually go back to a real mans airplane, I might be dangerous.:D

Thanks for putting it in perspective for me!! :)

Good points. I know of a couple of guys that just got hired that were flying old Lears for Ameriflight and also knew guys that worked there.
