AS pilots you need to wake up with SkyWest coming in and flying for mainly you and QX. Where does it stop? It scares QX but it should absolutely terrorize your pilot group. Or will you guys open your eyes when they are flying 30 C-series planes with the Eskimo on the tail? Both AS and QX need to join forces and get this delt with!!! One company, one seniority list, all flying done for AGG by AAG pilots!!! We need to get ALPA and the Teamsters to join forces and push through a agreement to mgmt (that would be one of the first good things that they have done). As both of our SCOPES don't help us at all. We learned the QX flt attendents have better scope than both pilot groups. Pay is nothing when you don't have a job or your job is outsoursed. Opinions?
The time for this was when both airlines were in Section 6 negotiations.

I hope so, but I would be a little concerned watching the middle east tensions and the rise of oil. $97 a barrel and climbing...

You might want to google Air Group hedges....

Im aware of AAG hedges and Im also aware of how brutally stingy and conservative the AAG is. Hence a record $264 million dollar profit and still having pilots on the street. You can never be optimistic being apart of the AAG.

Round Trips.

PDX-BUR x 3
PDX-ONT x 3
PDX-LGB x2
SEA-SBA x1
SEA-FAT x1 (for MX Reposition)
SEA-PDX x1 (for Mx Reposition)

Heard a rumor from two different sources that they will begin reducing ANC in the fall. 40 crew reduction spread over up to 4 bids. Supposedly came out of an FO summit. Not exactly surprising with SEA getting ETOPS. Anyone else hear anything?

That's actually delightful news for the remainder of the recalls...perhaps our stay in ANC will be brief.

I can confirm the rumor except the number of crews. ANC will shrink, LAX may lose a couple but minimal and SEA and PDX will grow. Last recalls will be back by January and interviews for spring classes will occure this fall.
