For guys like Ty AirTran was great. I don't know him personally but he probably upgraded in less than 3 years. Made a decent salary. Probably never sat reserve. So looking at it from that perspective what is not to like? SWA did ruin that for his demographic. Why is it so hard for you to realize that some were very happy at AAI just as some are very happy at SWA. Life is what you make it. I guess we just need to walk a mile in each others shoes to put thins into perspective. Mergers suck. Lives are permanently changed. Some for the better...some for the worse.

Ty never said those exact words, but many people have those exact feelings about the whole thing. I know it's hard for you to wrap your head around the fact that many of us actually liked AirTran, but it's the truth. Doesn't matter anymore though, my airline will cease to exist in a year and a half. Life goes on...

I'll tell you as simply as I can. You have great guys there and you have dicks- just like us- what you didn't have was an equal career, job or stable position in this industry.

I'll say the same- Just about every guy I've met from SWA was super cool, I've drank with them in Mr C's, shot guns with them in Artesia, chased FA's with them in, well that was a long time ago. Everyone of them, great guys.
You? not so much. Your arrogant-ass attitude is what I can't stand, spouting off nonsense about Airtran of which you know nothing about. You think nothing of my thoughts, i think less of yours. So how bout you just go pound some sand up your ass, and call it a day.

How about Fedex, UPS, NWA, and every other Pilot Group that has struck or threatened to?

There was enough Eastern presence at ArTran to keep those planes flying through the strike.

Im sorry i don't piss on the years of extra effort it took to get to the bottom of swa's list, than it did to get to the bottom of air Tran's.
That's exactly right- AT wont exist in a bit- I HAVE acknowledged that AT was a good fit for a few hundred of you. For the rest, it's who happened to hire you. I have friend's at republic that are staying- content with their life- and it's a pretty damn good life at that. For them- they have an argument. Doesn't mean their seniority is equal. Same size airplane- is Virgin America's seniority equal to yours? Should their #1 guy hired in 2006, be slotted next to yours hired in 1994, if you had bought them?
Are you going to HEAR that i understand being in the top qtr seniority is a very good thing- that your quick seniority played a big part in choosing to stat at AT and it sucks that a company so much bigger and older bought you- you had your niche and it was working well for you. i get it. Are you going to HEAR that this time, or do you want me to repeat myself.
But regardless of a few's good situation,there is no metric where your seniority was equal to southwest's seniority.

I started posting on this idiotic topic when PCL confirmed that ATALPA would not be satisfied with anything worse than date of hire. DOH was your WORST case scenario- straight from one of your highest ranking elected leaders.
Meaning: you would not accept less than an improvement on where your date of hire would've placed you on swa's list.
If you don't see the BS in that, nobody can help you and you better just steel yourself up for a sh/tty view on this for the rest of your life

Well if was Unity you were all after, why didn't you all just have a BBQ and Brats get together?
So voting to Strike was a way for "Happy" Pilots to build Unity?
