Tram,

I suggest emailing directly to HR, or snail mail it in. Think the answers to the questions you seek are found on their website.

cheers

Will they move current pilots from one base to another if a pilot wishes?

Yeah, right!!!!!

I think you may have misunderstood what I was saying..

Let's say a pilot wants to get to HSV and a pilot from HSV is leaving, will they allow someone within the company to bid the spot, before it is given away to a new hire..

I'm not talking "hey, I want hsv, so move people so I can have it..."

Depends on demand. Last month many were getting in the 90 hour range, some more, some less. First part of the year, you were lucky to get more than 15. Lifestyle is what you make it. You could sit in your room watching TV or get out and explore some areas. Just don't wander too far 'cause you might get a trip!

Yeah , I can second that...life on the road is what you make it. And normally who you fly with is what makes it.

If you two get along great then you can have a blast...but if you are opposites and the person doesn't hang out it can dredge on for 19 days....

Some times I swear I had more fun on the road than when I go home:)

Wankel

I have been called for an interview there on Oct. 10. Im awaiting for my packet of information but two things. First Im assuming you can get there without paying for a ticket because of the agreements with different carriers. Also, if i got hired when do you think i could expect a groundschool date? Any help is appreciated.

Blow me down.... for the life of me I will never understand ye youngsters!!

Me matie is being offered an interview to fly a 26,000lb, twin-engined, multi crewed airplane for better than regional airline wages, WITH 400 HOURS, and the possibility to upgrade around 135 minimums, and is complaining about having to make his was to the interview!! Davey Jones is rolling over in his locker!!

If said knave does get hired, me bets ye will only last 6 to 8 months!!

Shiver me timbers!!

Don't get me wrong im very greatful for the opportunity but that doesn't change the fact that spending like 280 bucks to get there won't be fun, not too mention that if i get the job ill be spending more money to get back there for groundschool.

I know, I know, I actually have about 520 now, just a little better. I belive this could be just awsome considering i could upgrade like two years sooner than at an airline.

If you can't find a means to buy that ticket...your going to be flight instructing for a little longer than you may want to.

I can offer you a little advice.

You are making an investment in your self. You do what you have to do buy that ticket. Put it on a credit card. Who cares. So what if your intrest rate is 19 percent it is an investment in your self.

You can pay off that bill in the up coming months.

Or you can save 500 bucks now, flight instruct for lord knows how long with prob no health insurance and no benifits. Or you could miss the chance to make 50K in two years with outstanding benifits for a 135 outfit. Your call.

I was gonna spend the money but you guys maneged to pull my head out of my rear so i could take a look at the big picture. Now i dont' feel guilty about it at all. And if i get the job i think it will be a damn good picture. Anyways thanks.
