with me they had me take off from Janesville WI. fly to Madison on airways, shoot a vor approach to a missed and hold. then vectors to an ILS to a full stop landing. They just want to know if you know your proceedures. Also an instrument written 100 questions with some diagrams for holding entrys. everyone was very nice and it seems like a good place to work.

Do you guys know about how many pilots ACC is hiring per month and if their hiring pool is relatively full? I put an app in through their staffCV site about a month ago and haven't heard a word back. Seems like a good outfit, especially if they're still doing street captains. Thanks,

-Eric

I think that they are hiring street captains. I don't think they have a hiring pool. you might want to mail them your resume. I walked mine in and herd back from them in about 3 days and was offered an interview

Yea, the best thing to do is mail the resume in, seems to get better responses. This outfit is a good outfit, the main reason I like working here is the aircraft are well taken care of and company atmosphere is good.

where are the bases and what's the capt. pay?

Thanks in advance

The bases are on the site for the scheduled runs but if you do the on demand flying you can live wherever you want to on your time off.

Is there anytype of a training contract or pay for training? Also what is the call out time and how many days off per month do you generally get? If you're doing the ondemand stuff how do they get you to the aircraft from your house?
Thanks again.

There is no pay for training right now, no contract either. If you are doing a scheduled run then you get the weekends off and can jumpseat to and from your real house if you didn't move every weekend. After you are there for a year you get a week vaction then that increases every year you are there. On the on-demand opps you get a 19 on 9 off schedule so you can live wherever you want to and your schedule is planned out a full year in advance so you can pretty much plan your life for a year.

What is FO pay like?

It's not the greatest, between 17-25k depending on what run you are doing i.e. charter or scheduled.

And how long to upgrade?

Depends on experience level...

If you get hired as an FO with no prior 135/121 experience, they would like atleast 1 year in the right seat, a full winter season, and 750 in type. All other 135 PIC mins apply as well. You also must get atleast 1 reccomendation from a line captain.

If you have prior 135/121 experience, you may get typed initially and fly the line as an FO for a little while, or you may go straight to the left seat with no right seat time. That is depending on the immediate need for CA's, which right now is very high.

Pretty much, anyone with more than 1-1.5 years in the right seat is either not upgrading for personal reasons or hasn't been reccomended to.

For my girlfriend I am trying to help her out with some sim work for an interview, does anyone know what they do, approach, profile etc.

Maybe she shouldn't be so lazy and do the research herself, possibly the reason she is unemployed.

19 on and 9 off sux

Then don't do it!

I am single and have more fun on the road sometimes than I have on my nine days off.

And nine days off in a row is hard to beat.

Unless, you have a wife and kids at home.

What are ACC's mins and do they have jumpseat agreements with anybody? Just curious. Good post.

Thanks for the reply T-Gates! I have about 60 ME, with 600Total, but I'll give it a shot. Do you like flying the Shorts?
