sign of the coming 2007 hiring boom

I have always wanted to work for ACC if I got into the cargo side of the business, I guess I need to shoot them a resume..

Is it typical for new hires to be placed on a line spot or do they go for the on-demand runs? Is there usually more flying associated with one or the other? I was looking at the website for the company and some of the routes looked as though they only flew 2-4 hours per night. Also does anyone know how long the training is? I think my last post got burried, any word on the starting pay? Thanks to everyone who posts on here, and for giving us green-horns a clue.

What is the 19 on, 9 off schedule like? Is there a lot of flying or is it more time spent in the hotel? Also, is commuting possible.
I'd also like to thank everyone for taking the time to answer our questions.

Well, I've got my resume' in.. I guess we'll see what happens.. :)

Thanks.. We'll see.. :)

Have not heard anythiing yet, but hoping.

Thanks for the info T-Gates. Do you know where they do the training at? I have seen them flying out of CWA in Wisconsin, and also my home airport of KAUW. Just curious. I know I am getting ahead of myself, but I would like to know as much as possible going into this interview.

Training is done at Flight Safety at La Guardia

When I interviewed they told me it was done right there at MKE. They had a place where you could stay free, and paid per diem while in training.

I think LGA is where the other Shorts sim is located.

414Flyer - I have not heard anything either.. I did hear they just hired a large class, may be why..

They also have a jumpseat agreement with Delta. That is how I first learned about them actually. My interview is scheduled for the 27th. Did I read someone saying that flying time can be as low as 15 hours a month? I assume you still get paid a minimum guarantee, or is that not so?

You are salary....unless you are charter then it is salary/perdiem/miles.

We have an agreement with Delta?

Those of you who have an interview comming up soon - when is it?
