Pretty sure nothing is really being worked on. I mean, we're never going to agree on the list integration. I heard XJT's opener included a 5-1 ratio in their favor. I mean, WTF is up with these guys. 20%, 5-1, no PBS, etc., etc...

Just look at what QANTAS is doing this weekend. These managers are playing hardball in this jacked up "global economy" where outsourcing is the name of the game.

Learn the process. The seniority list cannot happen or even be talked about until a single contract has happened. Anything you "hear" about is nothing.

Stop spreading stupid rumors!!!! Don't you realize management wants to turn us against each other? I heard from who? Like I said before, think about something intelligent to say or shut up!!! You think anyone would present 5 to 1? I heard an ancient tribe in Mexico predicted the end of the world next year too!! Way too many at ASA spouting this stuff and not just on this forum I hear this stuff in person which is really scary!!!

Maybe it wasn't formal because we're not at that stage..someone caught wind of it from the xjt side...that's what's been heard. Just sayin'

It also just stirs the pot. This kind of false rumor just serves to alienate and divide everybody.

Can we lay off the snarkyness until we are integrated? Sometime in 2014?

Yeah, you heard right. No P B S. That's about the only thing you got right. You can add to that not cutting our sick time accrual, 401k B fund, or per diem.

ASA's sick accrual is pathetic. Also our system of "occurrences" needs to die.

1. Got into a huge auto accident and in a coma?....that's 1 occurance
2. Just felt like blowing off work today? That's 1 occurance.

Only if we use FMLA do we not get an occurance. It's abuse of a federal program and mgmt knows it.

I am not even sure about the no PBS statement. I know the MEC has looked into the PBS system, but there has been no definite statements about any part of the negotiations.

You guys are like a bunch of women just sitting around making up rumors as you go to have something to bitch about.

Nobody is talking about seniority at all that's waaay off in the future.

Dig a nice fox hole. These types of negotiations tend to take a while, and they are often quite grueling. As long as both MECs don't get caught up in a marathon whizzing match, there is no reason to expect an unfair outcome. I have met all of the ASA union reps, and most of them seem reasonable. The ExpressJet reps do not appear to be any different. They seem to care about their pilot group and appear to have an interest in preserving their contractual QOL work rules, just like ASA reps. I think it would be helpful if they each communicated their positions on open sections more effectively and more frequently.

PBS built me a schedule with weekends off and 8 days off over Thanksgiving. Exactly what I asked it to do. And I am not that senior of a captain here either. There is no way that the ASA planning department will ever build a schedule under line bidding that will have that. And if y'all think you will just trade to get those days off, don't count on it. Everyday over the summer and holidays is "low coverage" and all trades to produce this kind of schedule will be denied.

So now you PBS haters will say "well we will get it in the new contract that we can trade whatever and whenever etc...". Don't count on that! The last time we tried that in negotiations Jerry took some of our 700's and put them at Skyw. The results: bunch of guys downgraded and displaced.

Don't think he will do that again? Just test the waters and piss him off and see. And don't give me that crap about "well just burn the place down then". Lots of us need this job until something better comes along.

^ That

Ever hear of bad day/worse day trades?

Guess what, there will be schedules produced via line bidding and PBS that will have pilots flying over thanksgiving. I'm fairly junior and I got thanksgiving off too. I was also able to shift around my trips because we have plenty of open time to trade with and bad day worse day rules always allowing us to shift into days of worse coverage.

Next thing you'll tell me is that we need your RSV rules so as not to upset Jerry.
