I heard that they're offering $1500 cash if you'll take coach but that's third-hand information and not verified. Other than that, I haven't heard anything suggesting that they weren't buying the biz class tickets that they're required to buy.

Talked to one 767 F/O who's scheduled to go soon. He said that people think that he's volunteered for it but he didn't. He's on reserve and it was assigned to him. He says that he doesn't know anyone who volunteered for it.
 
Voltimorts letter for volunteers, is a clear end aound our contract. If we volunteer for ANA, we just killed any chance of a contract and pay raises.
Concessionary all the way.......to the end. This union could be close to broken. This is game time, junior, senoir, OPF guy ,non OPF guy. It does not matter. We all need to stand sholder to sholder and say ENOUGH. You are viloating our CBA every day multiple times, you are violating the spirit of it even more. We are done with this. No more VBB, OPF, JM or ANA until the staffing situation and the ANA mess is negotiated.

If we roll over on this, then we all get what we deserve. Till the doors close.

I think the junior guys get it, but some of the senoir guys seem some what insulated and aloof about the hole thing. Heard several off them personally commit to continuing Opf.

We are dying and divided.

Have him document the whole process, his schedule, travel etc. Take all this to a steward or one of the staff attorneys and grieve every violation. This mess has to be stopped. Or we just bought doing this way forever with our inaction.
 
This is MIA all over. The first trip down south we did not stop the flight in Guatamal for a lack of food even though we were scheduled for a 12+ hour duty day. Since we did not stop the flight we now have no crew meals. Our food is whatever you bring with you. If you forget you better hope the pilot lounge is stocked with cookies in Guatemal, otherwise you will go hungry.

The past will fortell our future. Our lovely company will do the least possible to get the job done. This means it is up to us (the crews) to ensure that they (company) obides by the contract. If you are forced to deadhead for 20 hours tell them you are fatigued when you get to Japan. Tell them you will call them when you feel rested. Once one trip does not go due to a crew being "fatigued" from the coach class trip over they will start to follow the CBA and put us in business class. It is a crappy position to be in but all it takes is one man to follow the FAR's, and company policy. If you are unfit to fly due to the companies seat assingment that is their problem, not the pilots. Stand tough and this will be fixed, go along because it is too much work to do the right thing and we will all pay...... concessionary contract here we come.
 
Box Hauler, I cound not agree more. If we do not stand firm, we get what we asked for. Vollmers little volunteer letter, is union busting 101. It circiumvents the CBA. Anybody that volunteers, is directly atributing to our collective issues, of JM, furlough, Opf, incorrect staffing, ANA violations...Our union is at a cross roads. All our careers are in the balance, even the senior people who think they are out of reach.

Stand united, or we are all cooked!
 
WIGO posted today, specifically thanks "those who have already stepped up." I sure hope none of the line crews have actually volunteered.
 
Cramming it down the throats of the reservists is crappy. But the forced flexibility might go to hell if one or two call in sick the day they're scheduled to fly out. That would be one big sick-no charge.
 
I find it rather funny that in the newest WIGO, our fearless leader says hes been reading "The Emperors Handbook". Is he studying for the future? Or does he really think he is an emperor?


Who's gonna tell the emperor that he isn't wearing any clothes?

SUBJECT: Workplace Harassment
From time to time it is necessary to issue a reminder concerning the Company policy against harassment in the workplace. As such, I am issuing this FCL to everyone regarding our personal responsibilities.
All of us in the department are expected to contribute to a productive and safe work environment that is free from any form of harassment. Any employee of the Company who is found to be in violation of this policy is subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination from employment.
To the vast majority who work hard to help us maintain a professional, disciplined and respectful work environment, I would like to say "Thanks" for your daily efforts. I appreciate your continued effort in keeping the Flight Department and the Company free from all forms of harassment.
Thank you for your attention and continued cooperation.

I'd say they're getting their ducks in a row prior to taking more hostages. What is the XPFE issue you're referring to?

Not to single out just PFE's turned F.O.'s but there are a couple of recent grads that jumped to the top of the list and are taking full advantage of it if you get my drift.

Apparently not! If someone bids up some open time and I tell them what I think of them for doing so, then I've just harrassed them. They tell a chief pilot and I'm made an example of by being canned for workplace harrassment. Think it won't happen?!? We're already seeing some senior gents buying back June vacation, wanta bet they won't keep feeding from the trough of OPF too?
 
Any info about what happened at the meeting last night or did you just have to be there?
 
4 Captains will have retired by the end of May. With an average salary probably around 240k, I think they could bring all of the furloughees back and still be saving money.

Thats a net loss of 14 people this month alone. We keep shrinking and there won't be anybody left for the biys to manage...keep it up, guys you are managing this airline right into oblivion.
