Hey guys,
I have read bits and pieces of your Ta'd sections but was wondering exactly how low you guys are gonna go. What would be the overall you would say percentage wise with everything combined? What would be the plan when Atsg goes to ATI and cappy and forces them lower than you? That Graber is quite the cheerleader. I like the "UPS" report.

Company Proposal is right at the top of the page. Big difference between proposal and TA. FI has more trolling than a bass boat.

I hope you are right, but I seriously doubt you are. Let's see. Sounds like it will be soon.

Indeed it does sound soon. What's it been like 5 years? Make sure you get DHL to sign off on it like Graber says, they are very honorable. You know you've screwed the pooch when DHL "gives the okay".

Nitey...you are a class act. I wonder if you would have this to say to the 400 or so pilots on the streets from ABX? Or the 8000 ground pounders in ILN? I doubt it!

Go post with the RAH pilots, POS!

How many astar pilots will be on the street along with abx come March? Besides, you care about abx because......?

Yea, like flying did not start this thread as a total flame! BITE ME! Do not be pissed at ABX pilots it is all about the equipment you fly. Really not that hard to figure out. Way to expensive to refleet Astar. You guys like it or not fly a bunch of old junk.

What significant event happens in March to ABX guys? Is this the day Astar stops paying their pilots?
Basically, yes. The Airbus's and 727's have already been parked. The DC-8 operation is still alive and well, but no telling how long that will last once ABX starts making 767's available.

The problems at Astar ran deep, and had been brewing for several years. ABX's hourly labor rates, which were actually higher than Astar's, had absolutely NO bearing on the latter's massive RIF.

Criticism of ABX pilots over their ongoing negotiations is both unfair and unwarranted. The biggest players in the business, UPS and FedEx, have been forced to take concessions in order to preserve jobs, and I know quite a few currently-unemployed Astar guys who wish they still had the opportunity to do so. ABX and 1224 are simply doing whatever they need to do to stay in the game until the economy improves.
