I would hate to be the Airtran guy out on a trip when my wife reads that.

Now that's just funny right there. I bet there might be some corn in there too?As far as ice cream, I have some special warm brown soft serve with peanuts and a cherry on top just for you!
Ya'll saw Gary's second letter on the Swalife newsline right?
Wow.
Our jobs are secure at Southwest and at AirTran, and we’re going to work very hard to take care of all of our People.
Let me quickly add that I was disappointed that ALPA chose to reject the deal. I thought it was very well done and required some give and take on all parts, but it was certainly a very, very generous offer. The economy is in terrible shape and we have alarmingly high fuel costs, so this simply gives us an opportunity to take a step back and take a deep breath and revisit our integration plans going forward. There is a Process Agreement in place that starts with Mediation, and ultimately leads to Binding Arbitration if necessary, in the event that we merge all of AirTran’s operations into Southwest. But again, given the current circumstances, we’ll now begin evaluating all options in addition to, or in lieu of, arbitration. We’ve withdrawn our offer, in light of the current economic circumstances, which is probably the prudent thing to do anyway. You know, this means that the integration process will continue, but will definitely work at a much slower pace. The whole idea behind that Agreement was to get expedited integration.

"What this does is it will slow down the integration process and perhaps change the integration process.
"We were willing to put some money on the table to get an expedited seniority list, and since we have not been able to do that, well, it just gives us an opportunity to reconsider how we want to move forward."
So, I guess ya'll are starting to realize that your MC probably knew what they were talking about. Too bad nobody listened... I'm starting to hear that sound from Atlanta again, but it is getting drowned out by what sounds like :crying::crying::crying:.
OUCH!!!
Say nothing, say nothing SWAPA pilots. Just be patient.
He does not want to can 1700 guys...he wants to tell ALPA to F(*) off...get it!
I have plenty of my ice cream for you too!

Swapa...you bought into the ghetto....sorry for you all, the one airline where employees actually were realized as an asset, and key to the company's success, has now been poisioned by "union" members (oopsy how many crossed at Eastern?)
Herb must be sick to his stomach, and so are the rest of us "old guard" airline folks who realized Southwest as the gold standard of airlines....all the best...
Wow!!! Just an observation from the sidelines, but it seems the AT guys are about to get what they deserve. I can't understand why someone would think they are entitled to anything if their company is being purchased by another. I have never flown 121, but I have often wondered what causes the "union mentality" and/or sense of entitilement among airline pilots. Maybe that would be a good topic for a new thread...
Sounds like someone is upset that they didn't get any of my ice cream. Don't worry friend, I have plenty for everyone!
I dont want your ice cream punk! I watched all your colleagues cross my line at Eastern, and now watch you kids trying to be ALPA big shots screw yourselves, makes me laugh!!! If you ever grow up, you will know what the rest of us are talikng about...you were destructive as scabs, now you are just as destructive as "union members" call me "Dad", ask your mom why!!
Yea...remember Gary said you would have to opportunity to work at SWA but may be in a different location and/or job. KP....secure the cabin for landing and take your seat. but get me a coffee with no cream first...thanks
