Egg,
I'm just looking at the next 5-10 years. Gold and other precious metals will do better than the stock market in these years. I'll also invest in energy and alternative energy.
What is coming will be like the 70's in my opinion with inflation and a stagnant economy. Stagflation. In the 70's stocks did worse than inflation and precious metals and energy roared. The bad times ended right about 1980 and the economy started getting better as the energy crises ended.
Even though gold has been on a tear I think this bull market has a lot farther to go. When you start hearing all your neighbors talking about getting in gold then the top is getting close to being reached. It has a long ways to go, because it is still barely talked about. There is no bubble yet. I could easily picture $3,000 gold and $60 silver.
When we start getting the energy situation under control like what happened around 1980, I'll shift back into regular stocks S&P style.
I may be wrong, but I think I'm really right. Look at those returns the last 5 years!! I've been right so far. In my opinion that is just the beginning too.
