Any Central Texas folks here that work for XO Jet? I am looking for an opportunity to link up with anyone in either Austin or San Antonio. Could also make it somewhere in Dallas/Ft. Worth on the way or from work.
If you have some spare time to answer some questions and allow me a chance to...
this has got to be the worst place to come to for serious help....with that said you need professional help -- which you seem to be getting, however, one of the steps along the way is going to be admitting to your wife of your transgressions. Otherwise you will never be able to get rid of the...
if PIC is all that matters to you and you want to help drive the industry further down go to AMW/Mesa
if working for a company that will give you good equipment, pay and QOL then Eagle is the place.
depends on you........a number of the captains I fly with when asked where they got their...
was hired in july and they told us they were trying to hire 50 per month....don't know if that was koolaid or not, but that was the word. we had about 12 in my class and they were running classes every other week....
landing 27L yesterday at ORD, bit of a right xwind nothing major....tower gives the guy behind us clear to land winds 360 at 11 gusting 12.....look out for that one knot gust!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
also yesterday capt is PNF and we are bouncing between ATL Center controllers on the way to GSP...
we do CDOs at AE, however, I believe they are limited to one leg out and one leg back...not a bad deal if you just want to fly the min hours for the month or to pick up on your last two days of reserve and get released early in the AM on your last day. no camping trips for us...we are "on duty"...
"These airlines have no loyalty or obligation to you so why should you terminate an opportunity before it's officially offered to you?"
my thoughts exactly....I am new to the whole airline world, but have found early on that we as pilots need to look after ourselves and not expect the...
just got a call about the 17th class.....already training somewhere else and the HR person bitched me out b/c I didn't update them with my status. their pool letter clearly said "DO NOT CALL US, WE WILL CALL YOU". hope it's not a sign of the whole organiztion, but it made me confident that I...
I don't know what the deal was, but I knew someone that called that same week that had applied over a year earlier and I had applied that week...maybe they were purging their backlog or something....no idea.
of course they didn't tell me why...but it wasnt a recency issue for me -- I had about 600 hours in the previous 6 months and about 100 multi -- including a IPC and Recurrency trip through SimCom in a PA31-350...
ah well it wasn't meant to be for me so no worries...

Choices are:
1. skip eagle and assume that since I haven't heard anything bad from ASA the conditional letter must be coming?
2. go to eagle training and walk if I get the...
19 lost 20 survivors....all italians on the way to Tunisia, 3 crew survived the water landing...apparently still floating when rescue people arrived. terrorism ruled out. god bless.

so what do all of you experts think is more likely to happen:
1. American call back it's flowbacks and Eagle upgrades drop below a decade?
or
2. ASA life changes drastically from a sale or a horrilble contract rammed by Delta, Skyw or xxxx company?
I am in the same situation and trying to figure it out...I have a 1 hour commute to ATL and 2 hour commute to DFW...leaving QOL aside as that is so individual for me it boils down to the following:
1. If the status quo for both prevails, ASA is a better place
2. ASA get's screwed by some sale...
