Heavy Set:
The pilot contract at UAL, the new one, does not allow any commuter to fly greater than 70 seats. Their is also a max weight restriction on the aircraft that they can fly. I believe its around 85000lbs. Don't recall exactly.
I know Skywest, according to a friend that flies...

If flying is really what you want to do, then do it. Don't look back.
Remember one thing, don't buy something based on next year's income. Why, because in this industry, next year you could be furloughed or the company sell the jet.
It rough right now. Things will improve, they...
To All:
Stinks, friend is correct.
I spoke to SWA at Air Inc yesterday. They basically did state that interviewing they hoped interviewong would begin in early '04. That right now they are being very cautious.
Ok all you application gurus.
On the ATA application they want Transport jet and Other jet. Question of the year. What are they classifing as Transport jet? Anything over 12,500lbs or only jet like b737, b727?????
Ok and here is the last question. Under flight times they have captain and...
Ok anybody out there know if there is a Frasca or any kind of simulator in the Chicago area that you can rent. I have a interview coming up and well being furloughed, I am probably a little rusty on my scan. I have to fly the airplane for the interview and want to do well.
If anyone knows any...

I only hope that there are no more furlough pilots for DAL..I would hate to see all you pilots on the street..
Question: Is Mr. Mullins still wanting to hit that 1400 pilots on the street number..Are you mainline flights still decreasing..
Just curious...I only hope for everyone...
Ualexpress:
On the furlough issue, I couldn't agree with you more..If the pilots are needed to added capacity then the company will call back the pilots...I was not implying that the airlines would not recall because they have not been gone long enough..
I have to agree with you..I believe all...

Nobody should envy the guys at the majors..Grant you I do like flying for them, before the clipped my wings, but the headaches are sometimes more than even the money is worth..
Wondering if the company is going to furlough and once past that if they are going to take back pay, or...

Nothing would be better news then hearing DAL is recalling..My question is "Has your CEO finally decided not to push for 1400 furloughed Pilots?" I keep hearing this and hope that it is not true..From your post it sounds like things are looking better at DAL..

Hope to be back...
A1FLYBOY:
Received the same email..Funny thing is I used to work there as a pilot..AEPS is just sending out random emails with the company names on it..I must agree that this is false advertisement and AEPS should be told that this is unexceptable..Will have to find out if Chautauqua know about...
To Everyone:
UAL is also adding about 170 flights this summer and the number good go up..Right now the flights are operating at about 70 to 90 % full..
Things do look like they are improving but it is going to be a while before the majors do any hiring...

HERCDRVR:
Unforunately, I am hearing that the grieivance on the off probabationary pilots has been post poned till June 02.. This is allowing the company to negotiate concessions..
I agree with you, once I return I will have a different feeling toward those who are below me..When and if there...
InstructorPuke:
I am furloughed from good old UAL..In answer to your question about resignation of seniority numbers..
Yes, there are alot of companies out there asking us to resign seniority numbers.. I would say about 98% at least at UAL are not doing that..Others are being asked to sign...
Pappy
I only hope you do get recalled, as losing these jobs gives our future fellow pilots less jobs at the majors to aspire to. I do feel for you the US Air pilots..It is a shame that Wolf is allowed to destroy airline after airline for his own agenda and ofcourse money..
Please correct me...
