    Colgan / Pinnacle Corp rumor

Rumor is... Due to the fallout and lawsuits from the Buffalo crash, Pinnacle Corp will transfer the Q400's and probably the Saabs to Pinnacle Inc, Pinnacle Corp (aka Colgan) will be spun off and probably go into bankruptcy. FWIW, this is very similar to what happened with Valuejet/Airtran.

Pinnacle finally gets fair with AA over jumpseating..

I'm pretty sure this applies to AE as well: Several years ago American Airlines revised all of their Jumpseat agreements. Basically, they intended to revise their agreement to mirror the airline they were reciprocating with (Pinnacle is unlimited, so they would offer unlimited Jumpseats to...

    Most far-flung regional commuters?

What's the craziest (distance wise) commutes you've seen from guys at your company? At Pinnacle, we have guys that commute to HNL, and I've heard rumors of someone commuting to Bangkok as well. What about your company?

Wacky new take-off procedure at Pinnacle

Just got my revisions today... Due to a recent AD, we can no longer use the flight director during take-off. The new procedure will be - TOGA - PF removes the FD - take off, pitch for TEN degrees - ref + 10, call for speed mode. ( I may be off slightly but this is the basic jist). Anyone...

Any cargo flights to CGK/Jakarta Indonesia?

I'm looking to jumpseat to Jakarta... anyone fly there? I've looked at all the schedules, all I can find is FDX/UPS, which is useless due to their jumpseat policy.

    9E Pinnacle and dropping/trading shifts

Was wondering how possible/hard it is at Pinnacle to drop and trade shifts, or manipulate your schedule for time off. I know Skywest and XJet are very good about allowing people to get blocks of time off if needed by dropping shifts or manipulating vacation time... wondering if Pinnacle has...

    Pinnacle training... Really that dangerous?

I'm getting ready to head to Memphis... I haven't heard what hotel they use, but I have heard that if you bring your car it will get stolen/broken into... is it really that bad? Should I just leave it at home? Should I bring my glock? :pimp:

Which base is better, IAD or DCA (E170)? I assume the flying isn't intermingled since they are on different certificates.

Has anyone in the upper-midwest or East Coast attempted commuting to Toronto Canada? The flight time is actually quite short... seems doable for the Mesaba/Pinnacle guys especially.

    Bidding/Hiring preference for multi-lingual pilots?

I know it's quite common for airlines to give bidding preference to Flight Attendants who speak a particular language (i.e. a junior Chinese speaking FA would be allowed to work flights to China even if their seniority wouldn't hold it). Is it ever the case that pilots are allowed to fly...
