Insurance Requirements for King Air 90 CA

Our company (135) will put a pilot in the left seat of a c90 with 1500TT 200 Multi and in-house training. Our operation is pretty big though and I'm sure because of that it is easier. Hope this helps

    CFI Renewal

I do know that if you are a current 135 instructor, you can do this and renew your CFI w/o a course.

    eSTMP.com for ski country slots

I've used both the on-line and telephone. Online is easier. It can be tough to go to popular places like Aspen at peak times. I have had decent luck in Aspen. There is an article in Aviation International News about this. There is some debate of the frax having some kind of automated system or...

    Work Enviroment At Tyson Foods?

Talked with a Falcon 10 and Challenger driver based out of Souix city, Iowa. He has been with them for 12 years and is captain on both planes. He told me his pay was right at 100-105K. Seemed kinda low to me but he was happy with the job other than hanging out all day in ASG all day 1-2 times a...

    FedEx Corp

Do any of you know anything about FedEx Corp based in KHRO? I guess they have two Lear 45's. Is it just as competitive to get in the door over there as it is flying the 727's and DC-10's out of MEM? If not, what are min times and competitive times? Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks! Blue...

    Did something happen at Pinnacle?

I know i'm not perfect, BUT.........Why do people get state abbrev. wrong? Arkansas is "AR" Alaska is "AK." This is the second post on flightinfo about arkansas and it was abbreviated "AK" as well. I was in an FBO the other day and the girl behind the counter asked another about a letter that...

    C90B vs F90

One other option to getting an F-90 is a C90/A/B and get the TRAD Conversion (Turbine Research And Development). Most people haven't heard of it, but it is similar to the BlackHawk conversion but instead of the -135's they are -35's. We have a C90A with it and it will true at 260 KTAS. The...

    Barber Pole

Could someone explain to me the reason for the barber pole on the a/s indicator? What does it mean and why is there one on the K-200 i fly, but not the c-90?

    What would you do?

You might be able to find them at APA, GMU, LEX, AMA, and BDL among others:) Again, not talking bad about them, but I guess I would rather them charge a ramp fee or a min fuel charge. I'm not opposed to a ramp fee, of say $20-50 or so b/c I know they are a business and need to make money...

    What would you do?

Had something fire me up today and was wondering what you guys might do. The company I fly for likes for me to tanker fuel and to only buy fuel somewhere else unless I have to. I frequently have short hops and spend all day at one place. So today I fly 25-30 min and have to stay all day. When I...

    Rogers AK.

I never been to Rogers, Alaska (AK) but I've been to Rogers, Arkansas (AR) many times. Too bad, because I know of lots of things to do there. :)

    Airborne Flying Service

Woops, I might have two different ops confused. There is an Air Med Flight operation, but I guess I thought it was called airborne Flying service. Anyway, as stated before, it is a small medical transport co. Sorry

    Airborne Flying Service

They have a decent C-90 and I believe a piston twin (Aztec maybe?) About 3-4 months ago they were looking for a Chief Pilot for 135 ops. Didn't want to pay what the job was worth though. Haven't heard anything about how much they fly. Talk to the line guys at HOT, they would prob know more...

    Not Approachable

Thanks Minitour. I knew I was missing something. Appreciate it Blue Skies

    Not Approachable

Thats the only thing I can come up with but dark line is the localizer course and not off the VOR, so I would think technically you couldn't do that. And if that were the case, why wouldn't they label the VOR as an IAF?
  16. A

    Not Approachable

It doesn't say DME is required. The question is if you only have an ILS reciever and NOTHING ELSE.
  17. A

    Not Approachable

Question on an approach: In looking at the ILS 5 for Hot Springs, AR (HOT), there are 2 IAF's . One is an intersection not defined by radials (MARKI). And the other is an NDB (HOSSY) serving as the LOM. If you don't have a GPS or an ADF, there are no IAF's that are identifiable except by radar...

    GPS Not Installed

"The old way" may have served your balloon pilot father in the olden days, but today GPS is the norm. Training the old way can't hurt, but it will take a little longer considering you are going to learn both the "old" and the "new" way. I'm not really sure you're up for the "old" ways b/c you...

Curious about St. Louis and K.C.

I'm just looking for some general info on corporate jobs based in either St. Louis and K.C. area. From the best I can tell, it seems like St. Louis has a lot more corp. traffic than does K.C. Would you all agree? Any suggestions of good corp. jobs (Budweiser, etc)? How about 135 stuff? I'm not...

Question: Pay for difference for a type and SIC?

I am going to go to school for the Lear 35 (SIC training) and am going to have it payed for. The person paying for my training won't pay for the type and I would like some feedback on whether I should pay for the difference. I don't know how much it is yet b/c I'm waiting to hear back from...
