Not sure that anything has changed in the way they contact you for class... the standard way has always been that the chief pilot calls you, typically from the base nearest to where you live, and invites you to class on such and such date. I'd call Kim U and find out if indeed you are in for... -

Heads up whenever AA MD80s are landing
aa73, What are your (AA's) requirement when crossing a runway while taxiing ... lights on or off? I always thought ALL lights on for T/O and Landing. Aren't the "wing landing lights" landing lights? Must be missing something here. RJ -
ATL Area Seaplane Pilots
Contact the local police department and check. Also, if you belong to Seaplane Pilots Association they can tell you. Another rule of thumb, if the river or lake is considered a "Navigable Water Way" you can land and takeoff at you leasure. RJ- RJones
