I spent 5 years at ASA and the only thing I miss at that place is the people and the trip pairing sitting on the chart holder in front of me telling me where I will go next. Both I have gotten over!

I'm on the 300, so everyone I fly with has flown some sort of Lear previously. I've never heard any of them say take the 45 if given a choice. Everyone always says take the Lear 60. Better room and performance!

I'm assuming you were an Eagle pilot. If you live in the DFW area or one of the other gateways, I think you will like it here over bEagle. I was furloughed Eagle, and left ASA to come here. No regrets yet!

I was in the same boat. 5 years at ASA. I took my ATP written again after 6 years, and paid $1295 + $300 examiner at arlington, TX for my ATP. I am know at the fracs and have no regrets. I get more free food than I can eat, keep the hotel + airline points, and fly new equipment. ASA quickly...
Consider this when making your decision:
1) Commuting Sucks!
2) Can you (your family) live on those wages for 5+ years?
3) Can you deal with ASA in ATL for that amount of time?
4) Captain upgrade at ASA will be 5+ years
5) Does the falcon job give you a type rating that you can walk away with...
The word on the street is that the "Candler" call-sign will be history March 15, and we will go back to the "Acey" call-sign. Just finished a checkride and an IP also confirmed this. Good riddenance, I've never liked the "Candler" call-sign.
