Too bad you feel that way - at NJI it is still very possible to solve any issue expeditiously one-on-one with whoever can best address the issue - we don't need committees and referees!
Not sure what Diesel is referring to - but the NJI payscale is NOT the same as any of the NJA payscales. NJI does not have a 'published' payscale - but we are generally above the NJA scales.
Going beyond the 7/7 is strictly voluntary at NJI but does earn overtime.
Saying an 'in-house union is more appealing than the Teamsters' to the NJI pilots is like saying dying of a heart attack is more appealing than dying of cancer. Please respect our right of self-determination and concentrate on your own issues!
Not St. Kitts - but the sister island of Nevis. Runway is only 3998 feet - not a good place for a Global. I've been into Nevis many times in a twin cessna (piston) when the runway was only 2000' - and, although they have lengthened it - it seems very questionable for a Global!
I did GV school and then differences for the 550/450. (and fly all three) If I had not come from the GIV, I'd have felt a bit behind - since the 450 is a GIV airframe (GIV numbers and performance) with the Planeview cockpit and basically the GV electrical system. PM me and I may have some...
Gut . . . I'm still analyzing the whole thing as you are - and agree with most of what you have concluded - BUT as I read the right-to-work stuff, it is not only based on where you 'live' (not where the company is located) but the 'airline' industry (anything governed by the railway act) is...
So . . . . . the bottom line is that nothing really changed yesterday that justified starting this thread. The new TA that has been distributed - that may very well be voted upon positively by the membership - STILL has to be accepted by Woodbridge (from the way I understand it) and MAY lead to...
Once in a while min rest - but that's the exception. Always stay at destination until plane is needed somewhere else. I HAVE ferried across the Atlantic but it is not the usual routine. Usually short ferry/pax leg/short ferrry/pax leg etc.
Typically airline to plane on first day - and home on day 7; fly 3-5 days inbetween. GIV crews seem to average flying 4-5 days and GV crews 3-4 days. Some see overseas every tour - others see domestic most of the time. No rule. My last 8 day tour I was home in bed all but one night - flew...
Dear Cast of Thousands;
Your statement is eloquent, fervent, passionate and persuasive - but specious.
It assumes that only with a union (and/or because of a union) can these performance measures be achieved. This is wrong. Others have met those criteria without a union and can continue to do...
Anyone know where one can obtain a copy of the NJA-NJI Leter of Agreement that was executed at the same time as the contract in November of 2005? A link was once posted here but I can't find it now. This describes the NJA-to-NJI procedure, rights and priviledges.
