It goes even further than that. To fly jets in the Navy, only the top 50% are eligible to start training. Not all of those guys select jets, so maybe 40% start in the T-45. Probably around 15-20% of those guys don't make it. So about a third who start Primary Flight Training go on to get winged...
Why? I continue to vote against Dems because they stole my vote in 2000 (FLA "disenfranchised" absentee voter). Many of us also vote Republican because we don't want Socialistic policies and there's no other alternative.
Last fall one of my FOs was telling me how I should vote for Obama...

Why are they stunned? The same reason Nancy Pelosi was stunned to hear about waterboarding. Because they are lying!!!!!
Nancy knew, and Congress knows about this too.
No, it was the smartest choice he's ever made. Lots of people who despise our socialist president pray for his safety every night.
Why? Two words: "President Biden"
O'Reilly had a video clip of TMZ asking Paris Hilton about the Swine Flu. She hadn't heard about it and when when asked if she was worried she said: "I don't eat that". Pinhead of the day.
I wouldn't be so sure. Many years ago the Navy used to train the Saudis to fly jets. Prior to solo, every student had an "OCF" (Out of Control) flight where you did numerous departures and spins in the T-2 Buckeye. It was not uncommon for the Saudi students to throw up their hands and pray...
Lear,
My point was that some of the complaints I heard about TA2 were about issues that were in TA1. I just can't understand why it's not important enough for everyone to read every line in it.
That's a big problem with this pilot group. I had several conversations where guys were complaining about what TA2 said and I told them they were wrong, it wasn't in there, now go read it yourself.
A buddy of mine sent me this. Don't know if it's true or not, but never let the truth get in the way of a good story..........
The conversation went something like this...
" Iranian Air Defense Radar: 'Unknown aircraft you are in Iranian airspace Identify yourself.'
Aircraft: 'This is a...
Could you put a teenage driver into Tony Stewart's car and expect him to win Daytona?
Could you buy snow skis just like Bode Miller and become an olympic skier?
You put an Iranian in an F-14 and you still have a dead Iranian when he faces a US Navy or USAF pilot. Training is the big...
He's got a new job now. He's been working at the Alteon Training center teachin' them furiners in the 737 sim. He's looking a lot older too. Saw him several times during my forced training in Sept.
I was on the AIRLANT staff in about 1998 or 99 when we had the "worlds loudest flyby" at the baseball all star game at Fenway. The guy on on the ground was a LCDR named "Joe" (can't remember his last name) and he had us howling with laughter when he relayed the story the following monday...
