    Lightning strike

His point is exactly what happened: the 4+ pages of Airtran wisecracking to satisfy the Uppercrust’s self-worth, courtesy of the unsuspecting FI onlookers.

    Lightning strike

Could it be that Upperatmosphere or I mean Uppercrust is a disgruntled Delta pilot? Although, I'll give you credit for being able to stir the pot w/one shot, however immature. P.S. Re: Tad's definition of "after takeoff:" When the DAL 757 had a tail pipe fire & the ensuing uncommanded...

    Lightning strike

Still marching to your own drumbeat, eh? "Shortly after takeoff = Vr till 2000 AGL," I GOT IT, thanks! Any other definitions come to mind, be sure to pass them along so that I could incorporate them into my airmanship. Hey, Miles, then where does the "upperatmosphere" start where you fly...

    AirTran's Scrappy Rise in Atlanta

I don't think the lights are meant to involve anyone else. They are more of an indication of our own camaraderie or team spirit, if you will. I agree about their effectiveness and, to a lesser degree, their impact. I, too, would like to see something much more productive.

    Lightning strike

You are letting too many facts get in the way of the Uppercrust's good story. He's not interested.

    Lightning strike

Uppercrust's pot shots at Airtran are less than genuine. See how he'll never admit to the source of his gripes OR tell you which airline he flies for, which gives him the one-way relative anonymity. Why you ask? You decide. However, it is NOT because his hypocritical airline has never had any of...

    AirTran's Scrappy Rise in Atlanta

No logo lights here either, although I look forward to a more advanced way to show solidarity. Weren't stock options designed to reward profitability? Looks like it's the Bonus Circa 2004 all over again when the amount of their bonuses equaled the amount of our quarterly loss. It could have been...

    AirTran interviews?

Having my company unconstructively trashed by a few disgruntled would-be employees doesn't upset or, even, concern me. In fact, some of the exchanges are truly comical because you guys have a way of getting under some of my coworkers' thin skin. I just would like to avoid having the wrong person...

    AirTran interviews?

It appears as if Clyde Frog / Einstein & his other banned predecessors are either the same person or the same persona (w/ exact same written decorum & writing style). I remember Chuck Yogurt bragging about being in the same crashpad & sharing the FI screenname w/others. The Midex dudes are too...

    AirTran interviews?

As a furloughee, do you still access to your ALPA/DALPA message boards? If so, I've been told there's some info circulating about it, although right now might not be a good time for such inquiry, ya know? Most of the ones here are Delta's PRP's (?) but one or two were not. I've had one of the...

    Hey General

Hey, warbirdfinder, just a thought here. Do you think Delta management might have something lined up similar to what Northwest did in discretely training would-be-scabs somewhere at an undisclosed location? I realize it would be next to impossible to get the hundreds of hours of simulator time...

    AirTran interviews?

There are a handful of Delta guys here now. I will say that if these are any indication of what Delta guys & their attitudes are like, you will have NO problem getting in. I’ve flown with a couple now & it seems most of them are getting recommended by the same source (the very first one to get...

    Airtran Jumpseat/Non-rev

You just can't help it, can you, Einstein? I figured your obsessiveness with Airtran, your interest in Midwest Express, and, of course, your membership recency to jump the gun on getting your one-month old screen name (Einstein) banned gave it away (& all in 4 posts) Oh well, knock yourself out...

Over AGE 60 PILOTS TO FLY IN UNITED STATES

No, they wouldn't be included but there was a highly skilled 59-year old who recently (as the pilot-flying) went off the end of the runway in Midway & had to have his "jet jock f/o" deploy his TR's for him (as per their story). On another note, the Undaunted Flyer wants to compare the risks of...

Over AGE 60 PILOTS TO FLY IN UNITED STATES

...others to be. Those on furlough can't afford to buy a scale model of L-39 while he claims to joy ride his real one. Another fine example of, "F*** you, I got mine!" There are some good arguments to make in support but very little has been presented here. BTW, for every one highly skilled &...

AirTran info - quiet in here

"Firing back?!" Funny, I've always thought of you as the instigator. In fact, isn't that why you keep getting banned? If you still don’t see things the same way, try leading by example & I promise you won’t encounter as much friction. P.S. BTW, I liked your unedited version better. It came...

AirTran info - quiet in here

The problem with the ignore list is his screen names have a very short life cycle (like a month or so). Then he comes back as something else & it's deja vu all over again. Although, on a remotely related note, one of his former screen names DID talk about Herpes or some other STD in the past...

    SWA Jumpseaters Need Your Help

Wasn't it one of their NYT reporters misquoting a female army private wounded in Afghanistan a few years ago? I’m sorry I don’t remember the details but it was along the lines of an interview taking place on the porch of the victim's house somewhere in the Midwest and it was later discovered the...
