Former America West Pilots send out political flyer to East Pilots
Funny how they Never mention what the landscape would look like under a DOH list should there be additional furloughs down the road (always just around the corner in this industry). Your C & R's don't mean squat without an equal sharing of the pain in that scenario ya jackwagons. -
US Airways Pilot/FA Recall
Been in the school house for a bit now. All previously mentioned new hires the company plans on bringing aboard next year will be for the east operation due to the companies interpretation of the new rest rules and how they'll affect international and IRO staffing......no love for the west again. -

Pass rate on the west side is pretty low but we're comparing apples to oranges here. Furloughed west crews will be coming back to 5 year pay on airbus/73/75 rates while east crews going back are on 1-2 year pay (I'm guessing) on the E-190. As pathetic as the 190 rates are, it's not surprising... -

How does crude falling change the game, i.e. furloughs?
The only way furloughes will be adjusted is if one of the carriers who plan these big capacity cuts blinks and revises those cuts lower. Then all the others will trip over themselves revising their cuts in the name of maintaining market-share. My guess is with oil swinging as wildly as it... -

Logbook Entries
I've gone so far as to log one line in the master-log for the totals in one "little" daily logbook (maroon, black, or blue ones). I keep a running total in the little ones which has leg by leg details then transfer all the total times for night, instrument, etc. I keep them sequentially... -
US Airways profit sharing formula?
Couldn't we petition the company to have any profit sharing deposited directly to 401k accounts? I'm no tax lawyer but I believe if you then withdraw the money from that account the tax hit would be much less. Anyone know for sure? -
