The union has worked so that your pay while on LTD increases. You will be paid 2/3 of whatever the current pay is for the seat you were in. For example, if you left as a year 3 FO you will always be paid as a year 3 FO but at the current rates and not the rates when you left.
The LTD plan is very, very cheap. It pays 2/3 of your guarantee until you reach 65. I thought it was through UPS and not the union, but I am not sure. I would have to defer to BBB.
You only get 2/3 of guarantee but it is not taxed, so it amounts to the same take home pay. Also, our...
Not ever gonna happen, IMO. Navy refueling with an old 707 and a hose is one thing and refueling a heavy receiver with a boom in entirely different. Omega has done refueling during training sorties. I seriously doubt you'll ever see a civilian tanker in Afghanistan or Iraq though.
I'm a mil trained guy and have been flying in the airline world for 2 years. I have a question about flight plans and equipment suffixes. In the military I know exactly where in FLIP GP to look up everything regarding flight plans and codes.
A few months ago I was flying on a /L flight...
I pasted the PM that skydan sent me along with my reponse. I am really starting to doubt whether this guy is serious or just trying to make waves.
You can't be serious!? Apology from me to you? It'll never happen. You should be ashamed of your actions as they are without dignity. Why...
SkyDan is the biggest tool on FI, and that is saying a lot. He is an absolute disgrace to the Flexjet pilot group. I read the thread and assumed it was a joke. How could anyone seriously solicit folks on FI for their resumes and offer their recs? Also, why is a 6 month FO doing this?
You'd...
To be honest, i forgot all about the merger you are facing. I was impressed with everything I researched about World a few years ago when I was job hunting though. Good luck.
Not only are we CASS, that's all we are. All offline jumpseaters on UPS planes must be CASS. As for jumpseating on pax carriers I don't think it's any different for us than any other airline.
We can buy $25 tickets on SWA for stby for family members. I am trying to do this now and can;t find the site on upsers.com. Does anyone know where the form is?
Have you applied? I did not have a pilot rec and I was hired 2 years ago. Plenty of folks are getting interviewed and hired without recs. It's easy to cry that the process is unfair when you don't even apply.
I would. Just look at the financial health of the respective companies. UAL could be a sleeping giant, but their mgt is terrible and Wall Street looks to be favoring DAL, AMR, and LCC. Things have changed drastically and nobody can predict the future, but UAL keeps losing money.
