I really wish you all the best. ALPA is certainly not going to solve your internal problems. It is only as good as you make it as a group. But, you will be joining an association of professional aviators that are dedicated to making our profession better. ALPA, while not perfect, has done...
This thread is really starting to annoy me. Saying that Delta or Delta pilots somehow can't fly in SE Alaska would be like saying (10 years ago) that Alaska could never possible fly to the busy airports back east or fly ETOPS across the Pacific. This argument is silly.
If Delta really wants...
Funny, for the vast majority of large airlines in the U.S., 117 has not caused any problems. And for those lucky enough to be working under a good CBA. No problems.
We just got word that SA corporate HQ's is being re-located to CVG this coming Spring and hopefully exiting bankruptcy at that time (...we'll see how that goes). If anyone knows any former Astar, Comair, or other dispatchers still in the CVG area, please pass the word along as they are hiring...

.....apparently he has some insight into the TA.
"That brings us to a new reality: It's becoming more and more obvious that it will be mainline airlines that fly these new aircraft fleets <small jets>. There are two clear indications...
This nonsense never seems to end. This idea is crazier than these clowns trying to get California Pacific going. Its nice to see people chase their dreams, but sometimes a little reality is in order. Like California Pacific, it will probably never get off the ground and if it does, it will...
What else does the world owe your generation?
LOVE IT! One more year and the baby boomer trash will start to fade into history. I wont miss the opportunity to shove one of their wheelchairs in the ditch someday.
