Well spoken. Wish others shared your beliefs regarding their sense of right and wrong. I've always believed people shouldn't hold strong opinions about things they don't have a strong knowledge of. A documentary is all the qualification some need.

Note, I didnt mention anyone here in particular, so dont get your panties in a wad. If I had though, everyone would claim an impressive level of knowledge without a doubt. Kinda like trying to find out who paid for their job at certain regionals a number of years ago. Everyone claimed to be among the tiny percentage that didn't.

Citizen's united??

Sorry, but in a capitalistic country, which the USA really isn't anymore- but the point remains bc it's even MORE important in an oligopoly- which is what we increasingly are- to vote WITH YOUR WALLET, and hold company's accountable when they don't act to your wishes.

And are you kidding that the right doesn't do this bubba. What, you're too young to remember jerry Falwell??

I didn't say that the right "doesn't do this"; I said that -I- don't do this. You're probably confused just because you are a left ideologue, and believe in and support whole-heartedly everything that comes out of a Democrat's mouth, no matter stupid, that the same must be true for me and the right. It's an easy mistake for a person like you to make.

The fact is, I think that Citizens United was a stupid decision, and that Jerry Falwell is a horse's ass. There's a lot of things people on the right do and say that I don't agree with, think are stupid, or make me cringe when I hear them. And there's even things that people on the left do and say that I do agree with. However, there's more things, and more importantly, more critical things from the left that I disagree with. Mainly economics and, of course, the left's incessant need for more and more governmental control over everything.

You should study economics more

Lest you think it's just coincidence that our economy has done so much better under democratic administrations in the last 34 years

No, I'm all about profit. But it has to be obtained morally, ethically, and honestly. That's not the case with Seaworld, which is what makes them soulless.

Care to explain then why you work in an industry which morally, ethically, and honestly burns over 5000lbs of toxic fuel in the ozone each hour you work?

Don't forget that he started out by PAYING them to burn that Jet-A. Your cost per gallon is much better when it's subsidized by guys like PCL.

I have studied it and that is completely false. Please post your findings as to not only the president who was in charge at the time but who controlled the senate and house. You will find when the purse strings were controlled by the republicans the economy did a lot better than when the democrats had the majority.

Just look at the last 14 years. For the first 6 years that Bush was in office the economy was humming along. The dems took over the senate in 2004 and the house in 2006. Shortly after that everything started to go down hill to the point that the Democrats have had complete control of 2 out of the 3 branches for the last 8 years and for a while there had autonomy to do anything they wanted with no GOP input. Remember Obamacare, cash for clunkers, shovel ready jobs, bailouts. All which caused the U.S. to run trillion dollar deficits every year until the GOP took over the house and put a damper to the runaway spending that the dems were doing.

It isn't hard to make the economy seem better when 80 billion a month is pumped into it by the Obama regime but until you put your big boy pants on and actually look at the spending problem the dems have then you are just fooling yourself. The dems are know as the "tax and spend" party for reason.

Air travel is actually far more efficient than cars. Only rail is more efficient. Even most hybrids won't beat the fuel efficiency of a modern turbofan on a mainline size aircraft.

ATL-RDU in a 717 burns how much? Roughly 6000 pounds= roughly 1000 gallons so if it's loaded to 100 tools like yourself, each tool needs 10 gallons of jet A converted to greenhouse gas to cover the 400 miles.

ATL-RDU in a granola/commie/liberal Toyota Prius only burns 8 gallons over the same 400 miles at 50 miles per gallon. If you have two tools in said Prius, each tool requires only four gallons to get from the nation's armpit to Tobacco Road.

I think the ********************ing Prius wins. The Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area loses, however, because it's tool population just increased.

Please stay in Georgia, jeanyus.

F^ckstick, you've cherry picked one very short route on a 15 year old airframe at the bottom end of mainline capacities and you've specified that it's not even full! Of course if you skew the numbers like that you can arrive at whatever numbers you want. But the aggregate data is not in dispute. Modern commercial air travel is more efficient than car travel. Period.
