I just read AS may announce those three cities on Tues, including Detroit! Awesome! That will go senior to Mookie, no doubt!

Where is AK getting the extra planes? I know they are getting new 739ERs (like DL), but I thought the 734s were being parked? I know QX will be taking some Intra-Alaska flights, so are those current planes going South? Interesting new cities, still trying to figure them out, along with SLC-SJC and SAN... Well, good luck!

Det should be a turn ? And go senior! In fact all 3 cities will go senior!

Nobody is going to DET. DTW, yes. DET is in a part of town where stoplights are a suggestion and that's in daytime only.

airliners.net ! Good job genital, yay!

Thanks for the reasonable post general! Much better

See, not all bad. I mostly post stuff I read and ask questions or debate the issues. There are jealous haters like Mercy who can't form an opinion or debate her way out of a paper bag, but I just move on and enjoy FI anyway.

Jealous hater over what? Let's hear it airliners.net boy....

Now that Alaska is not outsourcing all it's Detroit passengers to DAL, they have to do it themselves. Good for Alaska! Loss of pax for delta;)

I honesty don't know if many locals fly there. It's more of a connection hub from smaller cities in the NE and the Upper Midwest. Have you read about the cities woes? You won't have any connections there. MSP and ORD are different, more profitable Fortune 100 companies based at those cities. Good luck on your own in DTW.

You are right, you don't know how many locals fly there. Alaska does! They see how many tickets they sell and then put on delta. Here is a hint, it's enough to do it themselves with a 737.

Alaska does not need luck, it has data.

Yes the city of Detroit is in serious financial trouble, but DTW serves far more than just the city of Detroit! DTW attracts pax as far east as London, Ontario to Grand Rapids, Saginaw to NW Ohio.
