Arbitration would have resulted in a lot closer to relative.

When both sides are pi$$ed it normally indicates a pretty fair deal, like what we have now...however, when one side feels it was given a lopsided loss and the other side feels good about the deal, the integration normally doesn't go so well. I think of Frontier and US Air as recent examples. I'm not saying they got a fair deal or not, but I'm saying one side felt very wronged while the other side was good with the deal. The integration in both of those cases has yet to happen, and in Frontier's case, probably won't. Given SWA management's relationship with SWAPA, and the deal offered that our management considered very fair and that they themselves had a hand in, I believe an arbitrated deal giving AT near relative seniority would have been your worse-case scenario...but we'll never know. I do know the AT guys I've flown have been great guys. Everyone has been more than happy with how things have been going, how they've been welcomed, and they all say they are paid more now. Hopefully we'll start to grow in 2015 to help ease any bitterness remaining on both sides.

Are you pi$$ed? You supposedly are a Capt, so you didn't get touched. I would think all AT pilots are mad, plus some FOs that would have lost some seniority in any arbitration SLI anyway, and then the bottom FOs that were hired after the announcement. In the past few years, SLIs have been done at almost every carrier with binding arbitration, to allow some fairness in the process, and to allow everyone at the end the ability to point a finger at someone (arbitrator/s), and not at management, so they can move forward, together. I know that didn't happen at Transtar or Morris, but in the last 5 years it has worked with arbitration. But, zero arbitration awards have NOT included Capt slots at BOTH sides, especially when both bring current planes or orders to the table. That is what is ridiculous.

Bye Bye---General Lee

What is ridiculous General is the disparity between the way pilot groups are arbitrated and every other airline labor group is arbitrated. Only in pilot arbitrations are facts such as pay, contract, and job stability completely disregarded. When you go into arbitration knowing what the results will be regardless of fact its not fair and equitable its kangaroo court.

Swapa wanted zero harm and they got it. Thanks to the ceo getting involved and taking sides.

Saying both sides are unhappy is the biggest feking joke about this deal. Everyone except swa pilots think so. How can u be upset when there is zero harm to you. You all amit that and what you are upset is you did not staple our entire group. When you say swa pilots are upset that is all it can be about because that is all you did not get from this feking deal.

Just do me a favor when I go over there and dont talk about it. From what I hear most of you are smart enough to do that. It really is not much to ask. Dont talk to me about it on the food lines in the cockpit or on the bathroom walls. Talking about it will not change my mind about it and is just a waste of our time and a distraction from the future.

I will not see this kind of increase. He must be on reserve at AAI.

Correct. I break guarantee about once per year. I will get a nice raise but will be commuting across way too many time zones. It will suck but that is life in this industry.

I wish these guys would quit spewing SWAPA propaganda. It just isn't true...

Just do me a favor and STFU. Tell me exactly what the majority of SWA pilots got from this deal, I'll tell you, nothing. Go ahead and mention "no harm" the next time you see a SWA pilot in the terminal, just remember to duck. Do me a favor, use a comma every once in awhile, you might actually be easier to understand.

What is so unbelievable about it? I was countering the statement by redflyer that my pay would double. His statement is simply untrue but some of you guys have a hard time with facts since it usually conflicts with SWAPA propaganda.

Read into it what you want or go ask SC what you should think...

Senior FO at SW - 151/hr.

Senior FO at AAI - 79/hr.

That's a 191% increase in base pay. So where is the propoganda?
I'm sorry I was only off slightly...9% to be exact.

$79 an hour? Payroll must have gone crazy lately, because they've been paying me $100...and I'm not even topped out. Strange.

With the new contract-

You're welcome for that time value of money-

Ungrateful b:tches- do you really think SWA couldn't have kept you at your old AT rates throughout this transition?

You honestly think that wasn't possible?

They extend you that olive branch of getting something quickly and you piss on it-

Fantastic

Go set yourself on fire and see what DOESN'T get pissed on.
