well pertaining to Netjets China which is the topic of this thread it is 100% "union drivel". Do you think the Chinese would put up with that union crap?? I promise you, they won't

Yeah you might want to read what exactly prompted the post "union drivel". Just a thought.

Is that why the Chinese are demanding Non Chinese pilots for the start up? I think you have an out dated image of China.

nope, I don't have an out-dated image of China... next time you run into a Cathay Pacific, Eva Air or China Airlines ex-pat pilot talk to him, ask him about unions in China, they stay at the Hilton LAX and SFO Hyatt.

You'll see what i mean

The point here is that if it's up to NJA management to staff NJC at get go, it's likely the company will want something from the pilot group to guarantee furloughed guys get a chance to go to the new operation. It's not about the Chinese viewpoint.

Has anybody from NJA management said anything about whether furloughees will get the chance to staff NJC? It certainly seems to be the logical way to proceed.

that wont happen. Your boys in the company see that as negotiating capital. Sure they'll send the top 495 best pilots in the world over there for $27,000 per......question is G4Dude....how much of a pay cut and benefit cut are you willing to take to secure that?

Bwahahahaha............yeah I'm sure management is getting right to work on that. You're buddies with them, why don't you suggest it?

No way does NJA put furloughees over in China (atleast not without the traditional application/interview process completely unrelated to whether or not it is a furloughee).

How would they go about deciding what furloughee gets to go (if they even want to)? Seniority? What if the most senior furloughee has no experience in a Gulfstream/Global, no international experience, hasn't flown in 3 years etc.....

If NJA needs pilots for China, I'd bet they'd go the usual route... Get some of old buddy buddy "A" teamers trained and send them over...

In managements eyes, there are no furloughees.. Atleast none to worry about in the near/mid future.
