True. You can't be standing available. But you can be called once they deplete group A pilots. And group B starts with reserve pilots and talks about them being on their days off. And it is not only for junior manning. That language is several categories later.

What people are doing, and is not covered, is calling in and asking for trips. Technically scheduling should initiate all this and they should run out of Group A before calling a reserve guy. But if the trip is within two days, there really is nothing that prevents pilots calling. This is why LAS is always red and FLL is green.

I think the last award for effective 02/2013 LAS CA was 2007 October hire. So a bit over 5y. By early 2014 we should be seeing guys upgrading that were hired in 2011. So it will go down to a 3-3.5y upgrade since there was no hiring between mid 2008 to mid 2011 or so.

I find it funny how all the people who had something negative about spirit all of a sudden applying and wanting to get in nk. This industry never surprises me.

I think when one actually takes a minute to really take a good look at Spirit, one would be crazy NOT TO GO. The company makes more profit than any other airline (profit margin)ZERO debt, $400,000,000.00 in the bank, new A/C, seems like a no brainer.

crews all seem great as well.

I agree. Those people actually look like fools now.

i agree Spirit looks really nice, but with United's new contract and 587 vacancies on their last bid, people will still choose United and I still wont be suprised in the next 2 years when more hiring picks up for more people going there and other majors, even wouldnt be suprised if people leaving Spirit for United and Delta because they still want to chase the HEAVY aircraft... people still have that mentality of flying the 777, me personally just want a QOL and paid what i should to fly something nice, doesnt have to be a 777. My priorities change as i get older

Even the guys that don't want spirit are applying and getting hired making it hard for us who want to go impossible for a interview. I heard a case of a Memphis 9e guy who in 6 month in the company at nk already making us 9e guys look bad. A friend said his arrogant tantrum have been pissing off lots of nk captains.BH are his initials. I heard this guy doesn't even want spirit and screwed over guys while his employment at 9e! Spirit pilots not all of us pinnacle guys are bad to work with. Accept my apologies for this tool bag in advance!
