I sent you a PM.

Yes. I do believe what I say. Probably sounds slanted the way I write it.

Idk what you've heard, but I'm thinking this is going to need to be voted down.

Can't believe that scope would be relaxed at all. I was hoping that u guys would follow the trend that DAL started with their tightening of scope. Everything I have heard from the outside is that tighter scope is issue number 1.

How long before we see the pool posts, with guys taking about being "In the deep end", "treading water", and "moving to the shallow end". Be just like the good ole days on FI in 2000

First year pay and lack of insurance is a bad thing, yes. But it's not the only pitfall at the new United. I would not advise anyone take the job until the contract is done. L-UAL outnumber L-CAL and that means scope is probably going to get relaxed even more than it is already. It's very unfortunate, but L-UAL is worried about their side shrinking and will probably vote yes on anything so they can move on to SLI and game their longevity. They'll reason that it can be made up on the next contract, but mgt will just roll out another scenario where the L-UAL concessionists feel squeezed, and they'll vote away more again.

To be clear the lack of insurance is a CAL thing not UAL thing. All UAL new hires always had insurance and many had plans 100% paid for by UAL. All newhires are hired under the CAL contract until we get this messed cleaned up.

I'll not vote on anything that doesn't get the insurance deal fixed that CAL ALPA caused. You UAL guys do your part to get this scope disaster fixed that you caused. K? If you hadn't bent over on scope there wouldn't be any furloughed UAL pilots subjected to the insurance problem...

Amen...

Might depend on how much collateral we had to use to fix the non existant work rules you CAL had K? R.N.

You got to love folks on either side that do nothing but point fingers like FG. Anyone that thinks either side had a good contract is high.

UAL ALPA had crap scope. CAL ALPA had no work rules and the fore mentioned insurance crap. ALL OF THIS IS ANCIENT HISTORY. Flops, UAL ALPA cannot fix the scope issue no more than CAL can fix the work rules crap. We have a JOINT negotiating commitee. IAHERJ do not fall for inflammatory remarks that at this point are irrelevent. For the record my post above was just a jab at flops.

Now we, all of us, are going to have to wait until we see the contract, read it and vote on it. Why some folks think that anything else is appropriate is beyond me.
