Fdj- do you really think that delta would have traded in every 70 seater they have for a -900?
You do know the 70 performs much better than the 90 and goes into mountain towns like Jackson?
It's unlikely financially they'd have traded in any 70 seaters, even more unlikely bc they need the 70 for performance and market size.
The battle over RJs is in large RJs. They're newer without the overhauls the 59's need. They're more efficient- with this fuel 70& up-
So the question is how many 70's AND 90's do you have now?
And why when there is unprecedented pressure on 50 seaters would you trade MORE -900's for less 50's??

That's like a dealership offering $50,000 for the Audi, and then countering with $60k

Way to negotiate for what your management wants.

So your argument is that the 70-seater is a better performing aircraft than the 76-seaters because of performance and market size, but somehow the 50-seater is worthless, I guess performance and market size are irrelevant at that point, yet the "battle over RJs is in large RJs,"with the exception of 70-seaters, because they are better than 76-seaters.
Git it.

You haven't flown RJs have you?

The -700 is a complete redesign that will land within dollars of a -200. The -200 is a challenger with an extra section and a bunch of seats thrown in. No LED's and high ref speeds- take all day to get up to fl350, including the 300 fpm climb-
-700 has the wing, power, brakes and LEDs to do things the -200 doesn't- plus a bigger cabin, which is relative but makes a difference- it'll climb right on up to 410 rarely limited-
It's a real airplane-

Bottom line, delta had a chance to change those -700's out for -900's all along- if that was a possibility, why didn't they before this contract?

You're falling for a sales pitch

This thread is hilarious. 2 PFT trolls who bought their jobs at SW are all up in arms over another group "lowering the bar," when their group, for decades, "lowered the bar," on just about everything!
Keep em coming guys, this is priceless.

Yeah- well as Disney said "you're only as good as your next movie"
Keep living in the past scoot.
Bc today- its Swapa that is the standard bearer among pilot unions. And has been for some time.

Hey Scoot,

How much was that college degree Delta made you buy?

Wave actually nailed with the very last line above. SWAPA has held the line, DALPA...not so much.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Which standard? The Pay for training? The low pay? The no retirement? The lousy benefits? or the 30 year upgrade?
Another DL thread, another thread where the 2 pft trolls keep commenting. It's flattery, really. Maybe update that resume wave and red. After your furlough from southwest, you can put that 73 type you bought to good use at an airline that doesn't require you to buy your job!

Ahh scooter- you're stealing my line- "hating's a compliment"
C'mon, man.
Get your own material
And yes. I could refute every one of those, but that's what you want- a change of subject-**yawn***
Do not think about how many delta planes, how many huge! Delta planes are NOT flown by DALPA pilots.
Whatever you do- distract, deflect, throw fits and insults-
The point is still- you guys sold out again and proved you don't get the damage outsourcing has done to the industry. Nothing swapa has ever done will rival that.

I think everyone on FI knows my opinion on this, but feel free to keep the thread going with another immature post.

Another DL thread,

I absolutely agree with you Scoot. This is a Delta thread about larger RJ's. Not a thread about Southwest. What's your obsession with SW?

It's obvious to me that you have little understanding of the Delta pilots scope section either before the new PWA or with this new PWA.

Not your fault, it's not your contract. As a Delta pilot I'm more than comfortable with the reduction in the largest RJs, closing the large turboprop exemption, establishing global joint venture protections, reducing the number of seats and hulls at DCI, establishing a block hour ratio, tightening domestic and international code share language and improving furlough protection.
