The word is, SkyWest already has a taker lined up for whatever 50-seaters it loses flying for in this Delta deal. SkyWest will take whatever 76-seaters Delta is nice enough to let them have and transition the 50-seaters elsewhere as needed.

Maybe you are right. Maybe you are wrong. The Regional Shuffle sure must get old. Not a good place to stake a longterm career.

SkyW Inc has a LOT of 50 seaters. Probably gonna be hard to keep those flying as contracts expire. The Cost per Seat Mile is way too high.

1. DING DING DING
2. WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

Keep an eye on the APA/AA deal. IF and IF that deal passes, there will be a 3 way deal that involves AA, DAL, SKYW and ASA. Sorry XE.

You skywest guys are really confident

My crystal balls haven't been wrong yet. When it comes to new a/c (rjs), mainline will not finance OR buy them anymore. They want a clean balance sheet. So with that who out there has the ability to purchase?

Absolutely right! If Gojets had so much power they could have financed the Horizon birds themselves to fly for Delta

Delta will want to hold the leases on the 76'ers as it gives them great negotiating and whipsaw power among the bidders. This is one of the biggest sticking points between DL and the partners that can and will purchase/lease they own A/C. The lease holder knows they can always place the A/C elsewhere if things become unprofitable with the current contract.

They want to... But will they. If rumors are true and SKW has a "big loan" and locked up the next 250 900's out of the factory, then what?? Not saying this has happened. But is possible...

Silly pilot,
Contract expires, fly said A/C to Bogota load them up with refined cocaine powders, place Mesa stickers on the side and at 7:06 AM land gear up on a desert road, unload and torch in place, thermite would work nicely. The beauty of the plan is the DEA/FBI would not be shocked at JO doing something DeLorean like that. Buy small island in the Keys retire listening to J.Buffett.
