Remember the 2 geezers who got so low on the approach into HOU they clipped a light pole over the beltway...5 miles out. Ignored 2-3 low altitude alerts from a controller.

That's because the fossil in the left seat was using the F/S indicator instead of a glideslope indicator. And the fossil in the right seat did nothing about it.

You guys crack me up. You want the left seat so bad, you'll propose anything...

You mean the way you want to hold on to the left seat so bad you'll propose anything? Oh, I forgot, YOUR sense of entitlement is good, only mine is bad.

how about two 20+er's drive DASH 8 into the ground, or a couple 30+er's take off on a closed runway, or stall their RJ trying to climb to FL 410 using Vs mode.

The guy who drove the Dash into the ground was 47.

WE DON'T WANT YOUR LEFT SEAT!!!! We want your FO's to have your seat.

Yeah, because YOU want to move up. What a surprise.

I am positive you didn't stagnate at a regional for the better part of a decade. You probably went straight from military to 121 didn't ya?

Yes I did. Am I supposed to be ashamed of the fact that I was selected and survived military flight training and YOU couldn't qualify?

I want the retirement age set so that I personally benefit the most, given my age and seniority. Isn't that what everyone wants?

Finally, someone honest. Thank you.

How about two 30-something Air France guys in the cockpit in the middle of the night over the ocean when something went wrong?

Yep, a deadly example of what inexperience can do.

I earned my seniority. You can't have it until YOU'VE earned it.

Core lock is a bummer.

Those two deserved to die!

Totally classless.

Congratulations. This is officially the dumbest thing I've ever read on flightinfo.

Agree.

Well that fits 20's+er, besides 47 is now too old? Wouldn't they have been better off if they had an experienced 67 year old in that seat? Back to the beginning this discussion is just like the age 65 discussions from 7 years ago, it is all about get out of my seat.

What should it be about? All the gratitude I'm supposed to feel for the opportunity to subsidize Grandpa's wife #6 and boat #9? Oh, I forgot, he's just shoring up his ruined retirement. Yeah, right.

How do you "earn" seniority? By being born earlier? Granted, English is my fourth language, but I was under the impression that the word "earn" implies some kind of effort. Getting old and decrepit takes no effort, we'll all get there.

You clowns keep ASSUMING every old fart Captain has ex-wives, boats. vacation houses, etc. You're all a bunch of idiots.
Do you NOT realize older people have obligations, BIG ones, unlike you BOYS? They have children in college, elderly parents they may be responsible for, etc. etc.
The biggest bill some of you junior clowns have is your beer tab in your crash pad.
GMAFB already. You sound like a bunch of whiny pre-schoolers who are jealous of what "Johnny" has...

I assume no such thing, the old farts make no secret of any of it by gladly sharing pictures of their boars, houses, Harleys etc, so I don't even have to assume.

It's not that I'm jealous of what Johnny has, I just don't appreciate it that he has it at my expense. There IS a difference.
