When I filled it out the third time, you send in the initial app. Then they send you an email to fill out the flight time grid. Don't know if it has changed since 07.

I can't get my resume to upload to the system. I'm using a Mac, and it says file not supported. Any ideas from those of you that are computer literate?

Anyone filling out the online application just curious if you've found where to enter in your flight times ??

After you submit your app, if you go back to the main dashboard and click on candidate profile, there is a section called Pilots Only. You can update and change your flight times there and after saved it will show on your full profile. I already had a profile on there so I'm not sure if it would be different if this was your initial submit.

It has changed since I went throught!! LOL, good luck dudes.

Interesting all of a sudden after i logged back in there is an entire section for pilots only. I don't think it was there before . oh well.

Speaking of jetBlue, who should the cover letter be addressed to? I'd like a specific name and address to send it to instead of the typical "To whom it may concern".

Thanks!

Obscure qustion #1....

Getting way ahead of myself BUT......

with JB long/short call reserve..If one lived within a 5 hr easy drive (country expressway) and had 3 morning flights and a late afternoon flight to commute on. Would it be more feasible to try to utilize a hotel or crashpad on reserve?

I'm think that with the call windows, even if I was bumped from the first 2 morning flights (6, 7:30am) I could easily make a drive and still make a 1-2pm window....And thats not counting LGA USAir flights at about 1 an hr....opinions??

Crashpad for sure. While the LCR reserve is available it is rare for you to get it on your first day. Even if you get LCR on your first day you will be transitioned to short call for your next day. Something else to consider is how many day turns we do. I am JFK based so it may be different in BOS but last month i did 6 day turns. That would have been a pretty expensive hotel bill. The main reason for this is FLICA. Being bale to swap in and out of trips up to 3 hours prior (as long as the trip you are swapping into shows earlier.) leaves a lot of day turns in open time that gets assigned to reserves. A majority of which are Florida day turns as they are not as high of credit as the islands.

good to know...thanks.

On another note. was just being paranoid so I logged into my account last night to quadruple check everything is in order and my contacts forwarded their approval etc....When l tried to bring up my profile overview there is some type of server error. I tried two different computers. Not sure if it was on my end, but everything else in my account is fine. Just the finalized overview has an error code. And it looked fine earlier in the day. Looks internal to JB?

Probably a server error on JB side. The program that we use to: update personal info, Pay info, Benefits, etc (including writing letters of recommendation for people who just applied) is down until Monday for Scheduled MX.

Thanks for the heads up on that.

Hope that is the case. It would really really stink if something got messed up with some of the apps.....I stayed up most of the night waiting for the window to open to get an early time stamp. I'd hate to have that effort wasted.

Anyone else have a problem with the follow up "crew rec form" said the system was down for that whole thing until the 5th...

I received the e-mail and forwarded it to my helpers at JB. Not sure if they have had any problems yet... I can't access the Profile Overview tab. That is where you can see who has submitted the rec. form....the only thing that comes up in that tab is my resume/cover letter link. And the error msg for the overview portion..

Sucks to see error msgs in the application system the same day you apply:bawling: Really want it to go very smoothly..IE:interview 1 day after the window closes:D I'll keep dreaming!!

its friday before a holiday weekend. I would love a call from them today to schedule an interview. But I think there will not be calls until after Monday.

What's the growth forecast at JB? If someone did get hired, how long on reserve, how long as an FO, how long to hold something besides JFK, etc.

Thanks much!

I obviously don't really have the answers.. But have been watching JB for a very long time..

From what I've been told and maybe others at JB can back me up.. New routes are being added. a healthy supply of a/c still planned to arrive over the next 5 years or so..

Getting hired at the beginning of this next hiring "spree" probably will decide the reserve fate. Last year I knew guys hired early on and were off reserve within months.....We'd all be FO's for a long time, no doubt.. I can definitely live with that though...

I heard BOS is just as normal to get as JFK.. west coast is pretty long wait. MCO may be doable in time?

We are taking delivery of an average of an airframe a month for the next long time. (that can change) We have to hire afew hundred a year for the next few years. (that can change) The sooner you get on the sooner you get off rsv. Guys now are getting off rsv in 3-5mo. It' took me two years, but I live in a senior base.

They told my class in 08 that we'd be off rsv in 5mo and upgrade in 4-5 yrs. That will/did not come close to happening. Hopefully these are different better times. New hires today should see much faster results.

You will get BOS or JFK. LGB and MCO are the "senior" bases. FLL somewhere in the middle. It's been said, but you'll likely hold 190 CA JFK before you see a line on the bus in LGB or MCO. I don't know if it's totally true but it's close. MCO 190 is shrinking, and MCO 320 is status quo.

It can all change tomorrow it's the airlines man, but for right now it looks good. Do some research and decide if you wanna be here.

Gladly.. Do you have a class for me to attend:beer: Let's just say JB fits very nicely into my lifestyle, schedule, junior locations, commute. Pay will do fine and a/c ....as long as I can stand up in it I'm all good baby!!

Obscure question #2:

How often would you update a current application? Currently fly about 30-40 hrs TPIC a month....Do I update bi-weekly, monthly, daily:eek:..j/j.. Normally I do it every few months, but because of the current push I want to hopefully get a chance as early as possible..

Looks like any problems with that portion of the app. profile are fixed. Mine is back up and looking ok. Not sure about those rec. forms yet, but atleast everything else is kosher...

anybody knows when will the start interviews after the window closes??
class and equipment (320 or 190) ???

Thanks and good luck to all of us how applied!!!

I updated my application weekly and it seemed to work out well. Most of the guys I know here did the same fwiw.
